It's been a year since c2iExplorer was released on sourceforge.net. Several changes have been made over the past year:

General

  • Code restructuring in cElement, UDMsgBox, UDBiblio, and UDExplorer;
  • Size reduction by 162 KiB;
  • Graphics recompression for all image lists to GIF format;
  • Multilingual support;

Improvements

  • Context menus added to the explorer, based on the code Joël Guelluy sent me;
  • Centralized unexpected error handling. Error messages are more consistent and are copied to a log file (DATA\c2iExplorer.log). Debugging will also be easier;
  • Added an options dialog;
  • Improved member folder titles;
  • Added a c2iContainerInt: SilentClose method. This closes the container without triggering an event. It is only useful for event procedures (including UDMsgBox.c2iContainerIntMsg_OuvertureChange);
  • Double-clicking a component in the Explorer displays the designer or the code;
  • Compilation is now done in a single click with the redesigned Compile button. It is also now independent of VB menus;
  • Added a Reset button in the Add Code Library item form;
  • The code library is now saved each time the corresponding window is hidden;
  • The details window for a code item has been reorganized to reduce the use of scroll bars;

Optimizations

  • Reduced the memory size of graphs;
  • Optimized the creation of the project report. The preview file no longer opens and closes all the time;
  • Optimized UDMsgBox event procedures. c2iContainerIntMsg_OuvertureChange was recursive (not quite, but changing the Open property value would trigger c2iContainerIntMsg_OuvertureChange again);
  • Removed debugging code in UDCompteur.ImporterDurees;

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed the bug with the invisible description bar;
  • New version of UDBiblio.InsertCode . It works better and its implementation is simpler;
  • Eliminated the error when starting and stopping the add-in if c2iExplorer.ini is not found. A dialog box offers you to search for the INI file, regenerate the default INI file, or abort c2iExplorer startup;
  • Added a check for the presence of base.c2i;
  • Incorporated Pascal Martin's fix for creating a report for a project containing a resource file;
  • FileManager.FileExists is more reliable;
  • Fixed a bug where the list of methods, variables, constants, etc., would collapse after clicking the + to expand it;
  • Fixed a crash when adding code to the library;
  • Fixed a bug that prevented adding an item to the library with the same name as a newly deleted item;
  • Fixed a crash when selecting a component in the explorer before requesting a project report.

Other

  • The View button no longer displays the class preview when a class module is selected to simplify the code. Use Ctrl+click on the class to display the viewer;
  • A slash in the Name field of the Details window is now replaced
