Update 20260820 - bookmark issue

Since Update 20260820 most of my bookmark-images are shown as a generic star. Had some gifs working in previous versions.
Newly added bookmarks show "stars", too.

• Playback status - Switch from a shell script status.sh to a binary status
  • Much faster response
    • On RPi 4:
      • Raw speed: 0.5s vs 0.05s
      • GUI refresh: 0.6s vs 0.4s

• Cover arts
  • Much faster response (by the status)
• Embedded cover arts and lyrics
  • Much faster response (by the status)
• Image replace - Cover art and thumbnails
  • Streamline for change and refresh the change
• Web Radios and Audio CD - Switch to directory based
  • Streamline to behave like albums (bookmarks and thumbnails)
  • Identical URLs can be used with different names or the same name in different directories.

Please try the UPDATE.

If there're still missing bookmark thumbnails, verify that coverart.* and thumb.* files are still in each directory of the bookmarks.

As it turns out MPD playlist contains only URLs of web radios, no other data of the same URLs. There's no way to tell which directory to get relevant data. URLs must be unique, the same as before, after all.

Try remove duplicate URLs from /srv/http/data/mpd/radio

My /radio contains only: ^^.
I have 33 radio-stations on root (/srv/http/data/webradio) and much more stations within subfolders.

Tried a full library-update - no changes. And I've noticed, my Web Radio-counter always shows "1".

• playlist show right coverart(s)
• webradio-coverart are shown at bookmarks, now
• counter is still 1
• all positive effects are gone after deleting/adding a webradio-station

coverart.* or cover.* - that's the big question ;-)

Creating new Webradio-Station with new stationart produce a "coverart.jpg" in its folder. Library and playlist finds/use them (since latest update). Playback-screen tries to find "cover.jpg", though.
"Normal" albums seems to have both. Cover.jpg is a big one and coverart.jpg a very small one (I guess for faster library-listing).

Do we need both for webradio's, too?

Updated to latest UPDATES branch as at 0915 BST, Spt 4th.

Creating a bookmark for pre-seeded webradio stations (eg Radio Paradise*) works correctly, however creating a new bookmark for one of my own webradio stations (BBC Radio 2) is looking for the station artwork in the wrong place ('journalctl -f'):

I have applied the UPDATE branch as at 10:00BST today.

My bookmarks are still showing as a Star because of issue identified above, looking for the artwork in the wrong folder.

Reran /srv/http/bash/webradio-convert.sh, deleted and recreated bookmark for BBC Radio 2 but still get a Star not the station logo. Still failing to find cover.jpg in /srv/http.cover.jpg' rather than '/srv/http/data/webradio/'BBC Radio 2'

I am running a RPi 3A+ with image i20260719, updated to all production releases and very latest UPDATE branch.

I think there's an issue with your URL to BBC-Radio:

I tried to add this station - and I've got same issue as you. Stations with direct-link work fine on my system.

I have applied the latest UPDATE branch in the last few minutes. It completes with the following:

find: paths must precede expression: `common.php'
find: possible unquoted pattern after predicate `-name'?

I am afraid though that it DOES NOT fix my problem in that it now looks for the coverart.jpg in '/srv/http' (as opposed to originally '/srv/http/cover.jpg'). This can be seen with 'journalctl -f':

I presume it should be looking fro: '/srv/http/data/webradio/'BBC Radio 2'/coverart.jpg ?

The good news is that coverart.jpg is now created for BBC Radio 2 (and others):

@AndyFx12 - the BBC Radio 2 Direct (as opposed to the 'BBC Radio 2') URL is a UK restricted URL for the BBC and will onlyu work if you are located on the UK mainland, otherwise it will fail. Surprisingly, if I bookmark the BBC Radio 2 Direct station then the bookmark DOES work and plays (for me) but the Playback screen logo is not shown.

@ rern - the above might be another pointer to this issue. My network is based on 192.168.86.* and looking at some of the code you have been working on, rAudio seems to (now) assume that 192.168.. is related to uPnP ? These streams on my 192.168.86.* network have worked with Bookmarks for a long time before this issue occurred. Interestingly as noted before the bookmark is a star but the Playback screen correctly shows the station logo.

Commit 09e4fd7 of webconvert.sh has some negativ side-effects: /radio-file has 0 KB after applying webconvert.sh

Reverting this commit, webconvert produces missing cover-files. In every folder of my webradios, I have this files, now:

This things don't work:

• adding/deleting a webradio changes /radio-file to 0 KB

• webradio names can't be changed:

• counter is still 1 on my system ;-)

Other theory: $dir / $dir_radio is built with missing "/" (maybe on shared-data only)?

Yes, you're right. Without the trailing slash, it will not follow symlinks. Now they are find -L $dir... (the same as find $dir/ ...)

I can confirm that by removing / adding station art everything seems to be ok. However webconvert.sh doesn't seem to do anything. Is it supposed to a) convert cover.jpg to coverart.jpg OR b) convert coverart.jpg to cover.jpg OR c) both ?
