Library Companion v1.2.0

This release introduces a new compatibility and automatic-update system for Library Companion.

What’s New

  • Fixed temporary Steam API profile disconnections.

  • Added automatic update checks through GitHub Releases.
  • Added automatic downloading and installation of compatible companion updates.
  • Added support for optional and required companion updates.
  • Added compatibility flags for updates that also require a newer widget.
  • Improved cached profile and library data during transient Steam API failures.
  • Improved companion health checks and startup reliability.

Existing Users

Update the Steam Library widget to v1.2 before installing this companion release.

Users upgrading from Library Companion v1.1 must install v1.2.0 manually once. Future compatible companion updates can then be installed automatically through the widget.

Library Companion App

Required companion application for the Respawn Icons Steam Library XENEON EDGE widget.

Install

  1. Download Library-Companion.zip.
  2. Extract the ZIP before running the installer.
  3. Open the extracted folder.
  4. Double-click Install Library Companion.exe.
  5. The companion will automatically start with Windows.

Keep the Required Files folder beside the installer and uninstaller.

Uninstall

  1. Open the extracted companion folder.
  2. Double-click Uninstall Library Companion.exe.
