Release list
v0.1.8
Panel
- A left click on the
esc closehint at the bottom of the/tps statspanel closes it, like Esc. Any other click inside the panel still does nothing, and a click on the TPS line outside the panel still closes it. Clicks need fullscreen mode, Pi's default. - The
esc closehint turns yellow while the pointer is over it. The host reports pointer moves only inside the panel, so a pointer that leaves the panel in one quick jump can leave the hint yellow until it moves inside the panel again.
TPS line
- When the TPS line is cut to fit the terminal, its
...now takes the line color instead of the terminal's default color.
Install
pi install npm:pi-tps-statsChecks
121 automated tests, plus format, type and lint checks. The package contents were checked with npm pack --dry-run: LICENSE, README.md, package.json and src/.

v0.1.7
Docs
- The README documents installing from npm:
pi install npm:pi-tps-stats, orgentle-shell install npm:pi-tps-statswith Gentle Shell. A version can be pinned withnpm:pi-tps-stats@<version>; npm has every version from 0.1.5 on, and older ones can be installed from git pinned to their tag. - New note on installing from one source only: an npm install and a git install of this extension would both load. To switch from a git install, run
pi remove git:github.com/restevean/pi-tps-statsfirst; the version can be left out. - The README no longer hardcodes a version, a paragraph about
/tps resetthat sat after the License section is back in "Measurement window", and the security note now covers pinning an npm version as well as a git tag. package.jsongains theauthorfield.
The extension behaves exactly as in v0.1.6: no file under src/ changed.
Install
pi install npm:pi-tps-statsChecks
116 automated tests, plus format, type and lint checks. An independent read-only review of the README and package.json before release found one error (it implied every release is on npm), fixed before tagging. The package contents were checked with npm pack --dry-run: LICENSE, README.md, package.json and src/.

v0.1.6
Changed
- The package description, the keywords and the top of the README now say that the extension is built with Gentle Shell, for Gentle Shell, and that it also works on plain Pi. The description is the first thing the npm listing and the Pi package gallery show.
- New keywords:
gentle-shell,gentle-pi,tpsandtokens-per-second.
The extension behaves exactly as in v0.1.5: no file under src/ changed.
Install
pi install git:github.com/restevean/pi-tps-stats@v0.1.6Checks
116 automated tests, plus format, type and lint checks. The package contents were checked with npm pack --dry-run: LICENSE, README.md, package.json and src/.

v0.1.5
Docs
- The README now lists the click on the TPS line among the ways to close the
/tps statspanel, next to Esc,q, Ctrl+C and a bound cancel key. The click has to land on the part of the line that the panel does not cover, as the paragraph above it already explains.
The extension behaves exactly as in v0.1.4: no file under src/ changed.
Install
pi install git:github.com/restevean/pi-tps-stats@v0.1.5Checks
116 automated tests, plus format, type and lint checks. The package contents were checked with npm pack --dry-run: LICENSE, README.md, package.json and src/.
Full changes since v0.1.4: v0.1.4...v0.1.5
v0.1.4
Changed
- With the
/tps statspanel open, a click on the TPS line closes it. The same gesture that opens the panel now closes it. The panel is drawn over the screen, so the click has to land on the part of the line that the panel does not cover; a click on the panel itself does not close it. Clicks that arrive while the panel is closing are ignored, so the panel is never closed twice or stacked.
Install
pi install git:github.com/restevean/pi-tps-stats@v0.1.4Checks
116 automated tests, plus format, type and lint checks. The new click tests were checked by breaking the code on purpose: each break made the matching test fail. The click routing was checked by reading the Pi terminal UI source, not in a live session.

v0.1.3
Fixed
- The value axis of the
/tps statsgraphs is one straight line again. When the top TPS label was five characters or longer, such as13550, only the first row of the TPS graph moved one column to the right. The label gutter now follows the widest axis label and is shared by both graphs. The extra columns come out of the bars, so a five character label at the narrowest panel width draws 14 bars instead of 15. Layouts with a label of four characters or fewer are unchanged.
Changed
- The widget and status line separate the first
tok/sfromavgwith a comma, like every other field:TPS 7308 tok/s, avg 149 tok/s, out 782, .... It used a period there before. Status mode publishes the same line, so it changes there too.
Install
pi install git:github.com/restevean/pi-tps-stats@v0.1.3Checks
114 automated tests, plus format, type and lint checks. The new axis tests were checked by breaking the code on purpose: each break made the matching test fail.
Full changes since v0.1.2: v0.1.2...v0.1.3
v0.1.2
Changed
- The package description no longer mentions the fork. The origin is still credited at the top of the README and in the LICENSE.
@earendil-works/pi-coding-agentis declared as a peer dependency with the*range, as the Pi package guide requires for packages the host provides.
Nothing in the extension's behaviour changes from v0.1.1.
Install
pi install git:github.com/restevean/pi-tps-stats@v0.1.2Checks
111 automated tests, plus format, type and lint checks. The package contents were checked with npm pack --dry-run: LICENSE, README.md, package.json and src/.

v0.1.1
Fixed
- Responses that Pi reports as aborted or failed no longer become an entry in the
/tps statspanel and no longer dilute the session average. Every other response is still counted, including responses that end to call a tool and responses cut off at the output token limit. The widget line still shows the final window of an aborted response. - The README now describes the click on the TPS line as a widget capability: nothing is clickable while the line is not drawn, and a click on a drawn line either opens the panel or reports that there is no data.
Changed
- The
/tps statspanel is one column wider (57 columns minimum instead of 56), which draws one more bar.
Install
pi install git:github.com/restevean/pi-tps-stats@v0.1.1Checks
110 automated tests, plus format, type and lint checks. Reviewed with four lenses (risk, resilience, readability, reliability) before the commit.

v0.1.0
Changed
- Breaking: the
/tps toggleaction is removed in all three forms: the typed argument, the entry in the bare/tpsmenu, and the fallback used when there is no terminal UI. Use/tps onand/tps off, or pick them from the menu./tps onrestores the display mode that was selected. - A bare
/tpswithout a terminal UI (print mode) now reports the usage instead of toggling the display. - The accepted actions, the usage message and the command help come from one list, so they cannot drift apart. The usage message lists the actions in menu order:
stats|widget|status|on|off|reset.
Docs
- The README shows the
gentle-shell installcommand next topi install.

v0.0.2
Fixed
- The
/tps statspanel now closes with Ctrl+C, as Pi's own selectors do. It also closes with any key you bound to cancel. Esc andqstill work. - The panel keeps working when the host passes no keybindings or a broken keybindings manager.

pi install git:github.com/restevean/pi-tps-stats@v0.0.2Checks
100 automated tests, plus format, type and lint checks. The Ctrl+C change was verified by an independent reviewer.
