Orbit for Android 0.3.0

@Hyuchia Hyuchia released this 20 Oct 18:14

Maps from other apps: open OPML, FreeMind, Freeplane and XMind files, with their notes and pictures, and export maps as OPML.

  • PDF and printing: print a map or save it as a PDF, with its outline and every note.
  • Colors that stay put: ideas keep their colors as others come and go, and orbits with hundreds of ideas fit.
  • Presenting on a TV: the phone and the TV agree on what they both understand, and a broken message can't stop the TV.
  • Fixes from a code review: search works with every letter (İ included), rehearsing a path that comes back to an idea works, nothing typed in the text editor is lost, problems with files are explained instead of closing the app, shared photos leave out where they were taken, and Home's search stays smooth on big libraries.

This APK tells you when there's a new version: once a day it asks GitHub for the latest release, and Settings can turn that off. It's the same file as on orbit.hyuchia.com/android. It installs over 0.2.0, and your maps stay. Android 10 or later.

  • Tags: tag your maps, and show just one tag's maps at a time.
  • Colors: give ideas any color with a color picker, and reuse a map's own colors in one tap.
  • Icons: find one by typing its name.
  • Copy and paste: copy ideas, and paste text and pictures onto a map: a list becomes ideas, and a picture an idea's picture. Ctrl+C, X and V work too.
  • Also: better battery life, a privacy policy that says who makes Orbit, safer imports, and builds F-Droid can check.
