Fifty-one subtitle and audio languages instead of seventeen — most of Europe, the Middle East and South-East Asia are named now — and the language settings open a list you scroll instead of a stepper you hold. Desktop: a live channel the browser cannot decode now plays through the full-format player instead of stopping at an error code.

Nebula player (webOS) v1.80.0

Supporter tiers: Supporter, Supporter Plus and Founder. Settings › Support shows your tier, lets Supporter Plus pick a mark and any accent colour (six more swatches on a TV), and gives Founders a gold ring. Raise your tier opens the support page for your profile. Every feature stays free. Both app ids ship at 1.80.0.

Nebula player (webOS) v1.79.0

Nebula on LG TVs has a new app id, com.nebula.player. In Homebrew Channel install "Nebula", sign in with your Nebula Profile (the TV code), then delete "Nebula (old version)": the old install gets this last update and no more.

On the TV, Left and Right now show where you are about to jump before you go there: press OK to jump, Back to stay. Preview pictures are no longer offered on LG TVs, where they could interrupt the film.

Streams from add-ons that serve more than one kind of content, such as films and live channels together, now appear where they were missing.

This build puts the player back the way it was before tonight's design pass (1.76.0), while that pass is looked at again. Nothing else changes.

Title pages: the buttons sit on one line, with My List, Surprise me and Recommend as round icons beside Play. A film can be marked watched from its own page. A line under the seasons tells you that holding OK on an episode opens its actions, until you have used it once.

Player: Quality lists the sizes you recognise and opens under the button you pressed. The subtitles panel no longer sits on top of the title or the bar. The controls keep their contrast over a bright picture. The pause board no longer counts the time down twice.

On the TV: a selected row in a sheet or an episode list now wears a white ring, so you can see where you are from the couch.

Elsewhere: genres and cast read as facts rather than buttons, stream rows no longer repeat themselves, and a switched-off Home row shows an empty circle you can press.

Nebula player (webOS) v1.75.0

Marking episodes watched is fixed. Ticking one off no longer moves your place in a show — only the episode you were about to watch does that. Holding OK now reaches the sheet instead of starting the film. The title page no longer offers to resume an episode you have just ticked off, and finishing a show no longer points you at a behind-the-scenes extra.

Tick an episode off by hand. Hold an episode in a series — OK held down on the remote — and the sheet offers Mark as watched and Mark as not watched, alongside Play. A marked episode moves Up next along and leaves Continue watching, exactly as finishing it would.
