Distillation 1.0.0-beta.1 is the first public release — a complete brewing overhaul for Fabric 1.21.1 that turns the stand into a system you learn by playing. It brews entirely from items vanilla already ships, adds no crops, ores, mobs, or dimensions, and takes no vanilla recipe away. Everything below is new. This is a beta: the systems are complete and tested, but they have not had a public soak yet, so back up a world before adding it to one you care about.

Added

  • Brew by discovery — hold an ingredient over the stand and the vapor clouds with a color hint of what it would become. Every brew you take is written permanently into a recipes page inside the brewing screen, and discovery is per player, surviving death and relog.
  • Murky Draught — a failed combination still bottles something. Its tooltip names one ingredient that would have worked with that base, and drinking it gives a short taste of the potion it wanted to be.
  • Recipe Notes — copy any recipe you know onto paper as a tradeable, giftable card. Its reader still has to brew the thing once themselves.
  • The missing brews — every vanilla effect that shipped without a recipe becomes brewable: Resistance, Haste, Absorption, Luck, Glowing, Levitation, and Health Boost. Fermented spider eye completes the inversion table alongside them, and vanilla's two dead-end bottles finally get jobs.
  • Batch brewing — stand a brewing stand on a water cauldron heated from below and a second row of bottle slots appears, filling all six in one cycle. Only for recipes you have already discovered, and hoppers can neither see nor fill the batch row.
  • Honest durations — Fire Resistance, Water Breathing, Night Vision, and Invisibility base at eight minutes instead of three. Combat potions keep their vanilla timers.
  • Draughts — sneak-drink to sip half a potion and keep the rest as a stoppered half for later. A half goes down in half the drink time. Re-drinking a brew that is still running tops it up instead of resetting it.
  • Concentrated and premium brews — brew a potion's own reagent onto it a second time and the result accepts redstone and glowstone, in either order, for a brew that is both extended and amplified.
  • Antidotes — eight surgical cures for Poison, Wither, Mining Fatigue, Blindness, Darkness, Levitation, Slowness, and Weakness. Each strips exactly one effect and nothing else, so the rest of your buffs survive the cure. Milk is untouched.
  • Attuned splash and lingering — a beneficial splash or cloud you throw buffs players and their pets and passes over the hostiles standing in it. Harmful brews stay grenades for everyone. Lingering clouds last a full minute at a wider starting radius.
  • Tipped arrows from the cauldron — charge a water cauldron with a discovered potion, then dip arrows eight at a time. Vanilla's lingering-potion recipe still works.
  • The flask — a copper-and-glass vessel holding three doses of one discovered brew, refillable forever, fillable from a bottle or straight off a batch pass.
  • Comparator output — a comparator against a brewing stand reads brew state rather than container fullness: idle, mid-cycle with the bottle count, or done.
  • Advancements — seven entries hang under vanilla's Local Brewery, from bottling your first Murky Draught to discovering the entire graph.
  • Configuration — every system toggles independently from Mod Menu and Cloth Config or by hand, and /distillation reload applies changes without a restart.
  • Optional integrations — Jade and WTHIT show brew progress and batch-rig status on the stand; EMI, REI, and JEI list a brewing category holding only what you have discovered.
