v2.5.0
LinkUnbound 2.5.0 - Errors you can see, notices you can read offline
When something went wrong, LinkUnbound used to stay quiet: a rule that could
not open its browser simply fell back to the picker, with nothing on screen
to say why.
- A rule that cannot open its browser, or a rules file that cannot be read,
now shows a short notice, and the picker opens so you can choose. - Errors are written to a small log on your computer. Web addresses are cut
down to their site and your user name is left out before anything is
written. The log is never sent anywhere: it goes only inside the
diagnostic report, and only if you decide to share it. - About now shows the third-party notices and the full licence texts from
inside the app, with no internet connection needed. - On Windows, the Microsoft Store version opens its own page when you choose
it as the default browser. - LinkUnbound no longer claims to be the default browser after the copy that
held that role was uninstalled. - Opening Settings from a second copy of LinkUnbound no longer takes the
links away from the first one. - Clicking a link no longer looks up every installed browser again, so the
picker appears sooner.
