v1.14.1
Tisty 1.14.1
Nothing to migrate: the log stays on schema 12, so this build and 1.14 read each
other's stores and you can update one machine before the other. A copy the Store
keeps writes one more line in its settings, which 1.14 ignores and which going
back leaves behind without it getting in the way.
Told you were on the newest version, for two days, while you were not
A copy the Store keeps asked the Store and nobody else. The Store answered that
it had nothing — and it kept answering that while 1.13.3 sat queued in its own
downloads list — so About said «you are on the newest version» to somebody three
releases behind. The manifest is asked after the Store now, and which of the two
spoke is written down beside the version: an offer the Store made still has its
button six hours later, and one only the manifest knows arrives as news. What to
do with that news is the other half. Windows cannot replace a package while it
is running, and this one sits in the tray long after its window is closed, which
is why an update could be downloaded for hours and never arrive. The wording
says so now: close the window, and the tray icon with it.
The mark lost an eighth of itself, and Windows painted the rest blue
The icon filled its canvas until 1.13.1 left an eighth of it as margin, on the
reading that what showed through the corners was something Windows meant to
paint. It was: the plate it draws behind an icon whose package names no
background colour, in whatever accent colour the machine is set to. The margin
only showed more of it. The drawing reaches the edge again, the package names
its own colour, and it now carries the unplated variants the taskbar reads at
each size, so there is no plate left to show.
