v1.15.0
Tisty 1.15.0
The log moves to schema 13, so every machine that shares a folder has to update
before it syncs again. One still on 1.14 is told so and carries nothing either
way, rather than reading half of it; nothing is lost while it waits. The first
opening after updating takes a moment longer, because the read cache is rebuilt
from the log.
An assistant can say a task of its own is done
Until now an assistant could file work and add to it, and nothing else: finishing
was the person's, and there was no tool that could close anything. That has not
changed. What it can do now is say so — say_done marks a task the assistant
filed itself, with the account of what it did in the journal, and the task stays
open until you decide.
Those tasks gather under Agents at the foot of the list, with how many are
waiting on you. What is due today or already overdue does not move: it stays in
its own band, marked, because a thing with a date on it belongs where you look
for it. Tick it and it closes like any other, and the archive keeps both
signatures — who resolved it and who finished it. Or open it and send it back
with «Still to do»: the mark comes off, the task returns to its day, and the
account stays.
An assistant speaks only for what it filed itself — never for a task you wrote,
never for one another assistant filed, and never for one you put out of sight.
It cannot say the same thing twice while a mark is still waiting on you, so
nothing it reads can fill your journal by repetition.
The journal says which hand wrote each line
Every entry now carries who wrote it, and the ones an assistant left are signed
with the name you see in Settings. Yours stay unsigned, because your notebook
does not need telling that you wrote in it.
A file two writers reach for at once
Saving under contention gave up too early on Windows and could refuse a write
that only needed a moment more. It now waits through the busy stretch instead of
failing at the end of it.
An assistant is told less to learn the same
What a tool explains about itself no longer repeats what the instructions
already say, which leaves an assistant some seven hundred tokens of room it used
to spend on reading the same thing twice. Nothing it needs to know was taken
out, and the refusals still name what they want.
