EC-K-Typing database v4.0.0

This release expands the group 2 and group 3 reference database from 90
to 109 K-locus records.

Database changes

  • Added 16 sequence-defined loci assigned EC-K-Typing identifiers
    KL176–KL191.
  • Added phenotype-associated references for K18-K22, K94 and K95.
  • Renamed KL124 to KL6, KL110 to KL51 and KL116 to KL97.
  • Added phenotype metadata for K6, K51 and K97.
  • Added the Capsule null predicted descriptor for KL158.
  • Reconciled reference annotations and added current atypical-locus and
    source-provenance documentation.
  • Added reproducible database-construction tools and an offline private
    database builder.

Validation

  • 109/109 references produced perfect self-matches with Kaptive 3.1.0.
  • No reference was untypeable.
  • The final GenBank database contains 109 unique locus records.
