New features:

  • loading 3D models is now done in a background thread, making the UI more responsive.
  • switching between documents via Ctrl+Tab (or Alt+Tab on macOS) now shows a list of documents.
  • the "appears-in" list views will now also show the "consists-of" relationship of the selected item.
  • also in these lists, the context menu was extended to directly go to an item in the Add Items dialog.
  • the Add Items dialog gained a browsing history, much like a web browser: this is accessible via the new back, forward and menu buttons in the lower left corner.

Some fixes, the most important being:

  • duplicating more than one lot would crash.
  • importing an LDraw/Studio file would not correctly import sub-models.
  • black-listing very old NVIDIA GPUs for the 3D renderer did not always work.
  • the checked/on state of buttons was very hard to see in dark themes.

Also, the Add Items dialog was simplified a bit by removing the text-only item view: this was a relevant optimization 15 years ago, but doesn't add value anymore nowadays.
