The first release of vorflow on PyPI. It builds 2D Voronoi (and triangular or mixed-element) grids for MODFLOW 6 from a conceptual model of polygons, lines and points, using Gmsh for meshing and Shapely/GeoPandas for geometry.
pip install vorflowIt needs Python 3.10 or newer. On Linux, the gmsh wheel needs the system GLU library (for example sudo apt-get install libglu1-mesa). For plotting in the examples, use pip install "vorflow[examples]".
Highlights
- Voronoi and triangular/mixed-element grid generation for MODFLOW 6 workflows, with barrier lines that cells do not straddle.
- Mesh-quality and connectivity diagnostics (
utils.build_connectivity, CVFD skewness, orthogonality). - Optional boundary inset/mirror points and structured quad buffers along lines and polygons.
- Explicit mesh-size growth fields, with graded refinement around fine features by default.
vorflow.set_verbosity(level, console=False)to route messages to your own logging configuration.
0.1.0 is identical to the release candidate 0.1.0rc1. The full list of changes, fixes and deprecations is in the changelog.
