Eclipse Blender 1.5.15
Armature export now includes objects parented through Empties or curves (heads, visors, eyes, hair and face rigs on rigs) were missing.
Re-export your rig with this version and re-import it in Eclipse.
Install: Blender > Edit > Preferences > Add-ons > Install from Disk, pick Eclipse-Blender-1.5.15.zip.
Eclipse Blender 1.5.14
Removed the license checks.
Install: Blender > Edit > Preferences > Add-ons > Install from Disk, pick Eclipse-Blender-1.5.14.zip.
Eclipse Blender v1.5.13
Install: download Eclipse-Blender-1.5.13.zip below, then in Blender go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons > Install from Disk and pick the zip.
Eclipse Blender v1.5.12
Install: download Eclipse-Blender-1.5.12.zip below, then in Blender go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons > Install from Disk and pick the zip.
What changed:
- Fixed "ARMATURE TOO LARGE" on rigs with very detailed custom bone shapes. Shapes with more than 1,200 triangles are now simplified on export, so they look the same but stay small (one rig went from 74 MB to 6 MB)
- Fixed "Ambiguous mesh bone" on rigs that have more than one body (like R15 and R6 in the same file). Meshes hidden in Blender are no longer counted, so the body you can see is the one Eclipse uses
- Exports with heavy control shapes are also much faster
- Rigs with normal custom shapes export exactly the same as before
Re-export any armature that showed the error.
Eclipse Blender v1.5.11
Install: download Eclipse-Blender-1.5.11.zip below, then in Blender go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons > Install from Disk and pick the zip.
What changed:
- Armature export now includes shape keys (relative keys only), with their values, slider ranges, mute state and vertex group masks
- Drivers on shape keys export too, so driven face shapes keep working in Eclipse
- If the old standalone Eclipse armature exporter is still enabled, the bundled exporter now takes over instead of silently running the old code
- Absolute shape keys show a clear error asking you to convert them to relative keys
Reload the add-on and re-export armatures that use shape keys.
Eclipse Blender v1.5.10
Install: download Eclipse-Blender-1.5.10.zip below, then in Blender go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons > Install from Disk and pick the zip.
What changed:
- Custom bone shapes set to wireframe in Blender now export as wireframes instead of solid shapes, including flat master controls and foot widgets
- Flat custom widgets (circles, squares, planes) now always export as outlines, even when their wireframe flag is off. Closed 3D shapes keep their solid look
- With the matching Eclipse update, flat widgets in already saved armatures get fixed when you reopen them, and wire widgets are only selectable on their edges
Reload the add-on and re-export existing armatures to refresh their display data.
Eclipse Blender v1.5.9
Install: download Eclipse-Blender-1.5.9.zip below, then in Blender go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons > Install from Disk and pick the zip.
What changed (camera animation import):
- Pairing an Eclipse camera with its Blender control armature now resolves the actual camera object. The bundled Camera Rig imports through Cam, keeping constraints, motion and vertical FOV
- Auto pairing prefers the Eclipse camera output over Blender's default Camera. If more than one camera matches, you pick which one
- Existing scenes and camera rigs keep working without replacing their controls
- Sampling now shows sample counts and refinement progress. Clicking Import again keeps the running job instead of restarting it, and live change detection waits for it to finish
- With the matching Eclipse update, GROUP IMPORTED KEYS can group each imported track's keys into collapsible blocks (off by default, doesn't change playback)
- The matching Eclipse update refreshes camera preview meshes when custom rig skinning replaces them
Eclipse Blender v1.5.8
Install: download Eclipse-Blender-1.5.8.zip below, then in Blender go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons > Install from Disk and pick the zip.
What changed:
- Armature export now includes Armature constraint targets and their weights
- Armatures that are only referenced by those targets get exported too
- Bone collections and memberships are kept
Use the matching Eclipse Studio update for parent switching, driven finger channels and shared IK branches. Re-export existing armatures to include the new target data.
Eclipse Blender v1.5.7
Install: download Eclipse-Blender-1.5.7.zip below, then in Blender go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons > Install from Disk and pick the zip.
What changed:
- Armature export now includes bone collections (names, hierarchy, visibility and which bones are in each)
Eclipse Blender v1.5.6
Download Eclipse-Blender-1.5.6.zip below. In Blender open Edit > Preferences > Add-ons, click Install from Disk, pick the zip, then restart Blender.
What changed:
- Fixed armature export failing with "attribute "action" from "AnimData" is read-only". This happened when the rig's animation was being edited as an NLA strip (tweak mode), which is common on rigs like Bluerev's. The export still uses the rest pose either way.
