• Recover from connection, GATT setup, notification, and write failures with bounded waits and retry backoff.
• Cancel obsolete automatic connections, volume/EQ changes, and retries when the connection session changes.
• Ignore callbacks from previous sessions and preserve the single-write-in-flight queue.
• Verify the S880DB MKII model name and initial state before enabling controls.
• Keep a fixed speaker visible in Settings even when absent; never fall back to another speaker.
• Treat unavailable RSSI as unknown, and avoid failed or unsupported automatic candidates.
• Reject duplicate/missing EQ bands and non-finite gain writes; display and log response errors.
• Add deterministic controller and codec regression coverage without operating physical speakers.

The minimum supported OS remains macOS 13. The signed, notarized application
includes both arm64 and x86_64 architectures.
