Way of Working

Summary:

Our current way of working is best described as being in the In Place state according to the Essence checklist. The team has established all basic conditions required for an effective workflow in this project, including agreed-upon tools, coding practices, version control, and testing strategies. These practices and tools are used by the entire team, and all members have access to and understanding of what is required to perform their work. We continuously provide feedback to one another and actively discuss both our way of working and each other’s implementations. A collaborative environment has been established in which more experienced team members share their knowledge and support those who need it, strengthening the overall team capability.

Progressing Towards the Working Well State

To reach the final state, Working Well, we need to continue refining our way of working so that practices are applied more naturally, the tools seamlessly support how the team works, and the team continually tunes and improves its use of practices and tools without consciously thinking about each individual step.

The following conditions need more work on for achieving Working Well status:

• The team naturally applies the practices without thinking about them.
• The team continually tunes their use of the practices and tools.
