Converty 0.1.1

Successful conversions and edits now close the floating progress panel as soon as
the output is saved. The "Your copy is ready" screen and its Done and Show in
Finder buttons are removed. Error panels remain available so you can retry or
choose another output folder. Originals remain untouched.

This is build 4 for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later. It includes the
media engine and is ad-hoc signed, without Apple notarization.

The native change passed 19 core tests and was verified in the built app on
macOS 26: image conversion and compression saved real outputs and closed the
panel; an invalid image retained the error and recovery controls.

The GitHub release includes the DMG, application source, corresponding media
engine sources, release manifest, and SHA-256 checksums. Packaging verifies the
disk image, app signature, and payload hashes.

Existing Homebrew users can update with:

For a blocked first launch, follow Apple's installation instructions
if you choose to trust this early release.

Converty 0.1.0 for Mac

Converty 0.1.0 is the first downloadable Mac release: a native SwiftUI and AppKit utility for images, video, audio, documents, and archives.

Download Converty-0.1.0-macOS-arm64.dmg, open it, drag Converty into Applications, and launch it from Applications. The media engine is bundled; developer tools are not required.

• Apple Silicon only (M1 or newer). Requires macOS 14 or later; verified on macOS 26. macOS 14 and 15 still need release testing.
• Early release, not notarized by Apple. The app has an ad-hoc signature. macOS may block its first launch. If you choose to trust it, follow Apple's instructions for an unidentified developer.
• Every conversion creates a separate copy, beside the original by default. Files stay on your Mac.
• Hold Shift while dragging a file in Finder to use the format wheel. Add Option for editing tools, or use the main workspace for batches.

The DMG, app source ZIP, matching FFmpeg and codec source archive, build provenance, and SHA-256 checksums are attached together. See the release runbook to reproduce the build and the README for format limitations.

Validation includes native conversion tests, the release build, static engine dependency checks, DMG verification, mounted payload hashes and code signatures, and desktop/mobile website checks in Brave. Signing and notarization by Apple are not complete.
