- Laptop poses: Front, Turned, Hero, Side, From above and Low
- Keyframes, finishes and export work just like the 3D iPhone

- Restart: delete the current recording and start again
- Delete: throw away the current recording
- The recording bar shows the time on the finish button and opens out into the drawing tools
Slice 0.2.2
- Annotations: draw on your screen while you record (⌥A), with pen, highlighter, line, arrow, rectangle, oval and text
- Six colours and three thicknesses; ⌘Z undoes a mark, ⌘⌫ clears them all
- Marks you draw before hitting Record are in the take from the first frame

Slice 0.2.0
Spotlight, automatic blurring of private info, smart speed and quicker sharing. Still free, no account, and everything stays on your Mac.
New
- Spotlight. Dim or blur everything except where you click. Turn it on for every click in Cursor › Clicks, or add a spotlight to the timeline that follows the pointer or stays on one spot.
- Hide sensitive text. Find sensitive text scans the recording for email addresses, card numbers and API keys, and blurs them while they're on screen. Draw your own blur or pixelate box over anything else. Both stay in place through zooms, tilts and the lens.
- Smart speed. Speed up idle moments and long stretches of typing in one click, with a moment at normal speed on each side. Back to normal speed undoes it.
- Zooms that follow typing. Auto-zoom now frames the words as they're typed, not just the spot you clicked.
- Export presets for YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Discord and Email & Slack. Presets with a size limit pick the bitrate and resolution for you.
- GIF export in three sizes.
- All three shapes at once. Export 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1 in one go.
- Drag exports straight into other apps.
- Background blur for wallpapers and your own images.
Improved
- Recordings survive crashes. If Slice quits, crashes or the Mac loses power while recording, the take comes back the next time you open Slice, missing at most the last 2 seconds.
- The cursor's motion blur no longer stutters the first time a fast move plays.
