October 2026 — updater 1.2.5. Bundles the owner-provided INI with 738 profiles and original attribution, and checks the 50 most recently updated issues with cached comments. Both executables require administrator access.

Service handling

When an elevated GUI cannot replace the INI, it offers to stop Remote Desktop Services and running dependent services, retry the validated update, then restore those services. This disconnects active RDP sessions: use it locally. Restoration is attempted even if stopping or writing fails. A restart failure is reported explicitly. Silent/terminal users can opt in with --auto --silent --restart-service. Without that flag, unattended updates do not stop services.

Validation

22 tests passed, including mocked service-stop/write failures and restoration errors. 3,800 valid parser formats and 45,600 invalid mutations tested; administrator manifests verified. Service discovery was tested without stopping services on the development PC. The owner reported fresh INI creation with RDPConf Running, Listening and fully supported for 10.0.26100.9444 after manually stopping TermService; actual RDP connections remain unverified. The latest live 50-issue poll was rate-limited, so newly retrieved offsets are not claimed.

Original updater code is MIT and AI-generated with OpenAI Codex. Third-party configuration retains its existing terms. Quarterly refreshes are drafted for review. Extract the attached ZIP and run RDPWrapUpdater.exe. See the included TEST-RESULTS.json and attached checksums.
