Prerequisites

To help get this workshop be on schedule, please try to do these steps before the workshop.

Step 1: Tool installations

Try to install these tools in your computer:

• Git
• QGIS 3.40 or QGIS 3.44
• Plugin Reloader plugin in QGIS
• A code editor (examples and exercises use VS Code)
• uv as a standalone tool

Step 2: Configure git

Note

Add these configuration settings with command line

On Windows this line ensures files are committed with LF line endings.

git config --global core.autocrlf input

If you installed Vs Code:

git config --global core.editor "code --wait"

Tip

Also you might want to add these if not already set

git config --global user.name "your name"
git config --global user.email "email
git config --global credential.helper 'cache --timeout 7200'
