Genesys FFG Options Enhancer - v1.1.1

This release focuses on fixing player-to-player transfers and removing the previous dependency on an active GM.

Fixed

Item Transfer

  • Item transfers now work even when no GM is currently connected to the world.
  • Transfer requests are sent directly to the recipient.
  • Added safer transfer handling to reduce the risk of partially completed transfers.

Currency Transfer

  • Coin transfers no longer require an active GM.
  • Players can send coins directly to other online players.
  • Pouch windows refresh after a completed transfer.
  • Improved rollback handling if the transfer cannot be completed.
  • Improved transfer notifications so success is only reported after the actual transaction is completed.

Genesys FFG Options Enhancer - v1.1.0

This is the biggest update to Genesys FFG Options Enhancer so far, focused heavily on combat automation, narrative dice handling, GM tools, initiative management, and reducing manual bookkeeping during sessions.

Added

Spend Results System

Narrative dice results can now be spent directly from roll messages.

  • Supports Advantage, Threat, Triumph, and Despair.
  • Displays available results remaining to spend.
  • Prevents the same symbols from being spent multiple times.
  • Automatically distinguishes between combat and social encounters.
  • Players can spend appropriate positive results while negative effects remain under GM control.
  • Includes built-in spending options for common Genesys effects.
  • GMs can create additional custom spending options for their campaign.
  • Supports automated effects including:
    • Recovering / suffering Strain.
    • Boost and Setback dice on future checks.
    • Ability and Difficulty upgrades.
    • Effects targeting enemies or allies.
    • Critical Injuries.
    • Weapon quality activations.
  • Initiative rolls are intentionally excluded from Spend Results.

Character Pilot

Added a new combat-focused character control panel designed to reduce the need to constantly open the character sheet.

The panel can track and manage:

  • Actions.
  • Maneuvers.
  • Additional maneuvers purchased with Strain.
  • Converting an unused Action into a maneuver.
  • Aim.
  • Guarded Stance.
  • Take Cover.
  • Movement.
  • Standing up.
  • Drawing / holstering weapons.
  • Assisting allies.
  • Using inventory items.
  • Recovering / suffering Strain.
  • Ending the current turn.

Temporary effects such as Boost, Setback, Ability upgrades, and Difficulty upgrades can also be automatically consumed on the next applicable roll.

Weapon Automation

Weapon rolls now support additional automation based on weapon statistics and qualities.

Supported qualities include:

  • Accurate
  • Auto-Fire
  • Blast
  • Breach
  • Burn
  • Concussive
  • Cortosis
  • Cumbersome
  • Defensive
  • Deflection
  • Disorient
  • Ensnare
  • Guided
  • Inaccurate
  • Inferior
  • Ion
  • Knockdown
  • Limited Ammo
  • Linked
  • Pierce
  • Prepare
  • Slow-Firing
  • Stun
  • Stun Damage
  • Sunder
  • Superior
  • Tractor
  • Vicious

Passive qualities such as Accurate, Inaccurate, Cumbersome, Superior, and Inferior can modify the roll automatically.

Active qualities integrate with the new Spend Results system where applicable.

Automatic Damage Handling

Successful weapon attacks can now be resolved directly from the roll.

Damage is calculated using:

Weapon Base Damage + uncancelled Successes

The system supports:

  • Soak.
  • Vehicle Armor.
  • Pierce.
  • Breach.
  • Cortosis.
  • Stun Damage.
  • Ion Damage.
  • Additional hits from Auto-Fire.
  • Additional hits from Linked.

For attacks made by players:

  • Only the GM sees Apply Damage.
  • The button is part of the original attack message.
  • No additional damage message is required.

For attacks made by the GM:

  • Only the GM sees Publish Damage.
  • The damage result can then be presented to the player for application.

Duplicate damage application is prevented.

GM Roll Fudging

Added an optional GM-only roll fudging system.

When enabled, the GM can turn a failed weapon attack into a successful one.

  • Failed attacks receive a Force Hit control for the GM.
  • The GM can choose how many net Successes the roll should contain.
  • Default value is 1 Success.
  • Damage is recalculated using the selected Success count.
  • Players are not informed that the roll was modified.
  • The feature has its own independent setting and can be disabled completely.

Additional Defense Skills

Custom skills can now automatically use a target's Defense.

Each skill can independently be configured to use:

  • Melee Defense
  • Ranged Defense
  • No automatic Defense

For example:

Arcana → Ranged Defense

will automatically add the targeted enemy's Ranged Defense as Setback dice when Arcana is rolled.

Native combat skills already handled by StarWarsFFG are detected and excluded to prevent Defense from being applied twice.

When multiple targets are selected, the appropriate highest Defense value is used.

Critical Injury Manager

Added a dedicated GM tool for handling Critical Injuries.

The GM can:

  • Use the currently selected token as the target.
  • Select a player character manually if no token is selected.
  • Choose which Critical Injury table/type should be used.
  • Enter an additional modifier.
  • Automatically receive +10 for every existing Critical Injury.
  • Roll the final Critical Injury.
  • Add the resulting injury directly to the character sheet.

The system works with imported Critical Injury entries stored in Foundry folders.

Combat Carousel

Added an optional combat carousel at the top of the game screen.

Unlike traditional initiative trackers, the carousel is designed specifically for the Genesys / StarWarsFFG Generic Initiative Slot system.

The carousel displays:

  • PC initiative slots.
  • NPC initiative slots.
  • Free initiative slots.
  • Claimed slots.
  • The currently active slot.
  • The current round.

Free slots can be claimed directly from the carousel.

After a slot is claimed:

  • The character portrait is displayed.
  • The character name is displayed.
  • The character's token can be selected and focused directly from the carousel.

Hidden NPC information remains hidden from players.

The carousel automatically follows the current turn.

GM controls on the sides of the carousel now move the combat to the previous or next actual initiative slot, rather than only scrolling the interface.

Improved

Damage Workflow

The attack and damage workflow has been significantly simplified.

Player attacks now follow:

Attack → Spend Results → Apply Damage

without requiring a separate damage message.

GM attacks use:

Attack → Publish Damage → Apply Damage

giving the GM full control over when the damage result is revealed.

Roll Request System

Improved the Roll Request interface and localization.

  • Skill selection continues to use skills from the selected character.
  • Missing-skill states are displayed correctly.
  • Fixed untranslated request.noSkillsFound text appearing directly in the UI.

Combat / Initiative Integration

The module now integrates more closely with the system's native combat state.

  • Combat Carousel follows the current initiative slot.
  • Claimed initiative slots display their owning character.
  • PC and NPC slots remain visually distinct.
  • Initiative rolls no longer show narrative result spending controls.

Localization

Expanded English and Polish localization for the new module features.

This includes:

  • Combat automation.
  • Spend Results.
  • Weapon qualities.
  • Critical Injuries.
  • Combat Carousel.
  • Defense skill configuration.
  • GM roll fudging.
  • Damage controls.
  • Tooltips and notifications.

Fixed

  • Fixed missing Roll Request localization displaying request.noSkillsFound instead of readable text.
  • Added additional safeguards against applying the same damage result multiple times.

Compatibility

  • Foundry VTT v13
  • StarWarsFFG 2.0.x
  • Tested with StarWarsFFG 2.0.4

The module continues to rely on the native StarWarsFFG roll dialogs, combat mechanics, actors, and initiative system wherever possible rather than replacing them.

Genesys FFG Options Enhancer - v1.0.7

This update focuses on improving Item Transfer with quantity selection, smarter item stacking, and several internal fixes to keep the module cleaner and more reliable.

Improved:

Item Transfer

  • Added quantity selection when sending stackable items.
  • Quantity is now selected using simple – / + controls instead of manually entering a number.
  • Minimum transferable quantity is 1.
  • Maximum transferable quantity is automatically limited to the number of items currently owned by the sender.
  • Sending only part of a stack correctly reduces the sender's remaining quantity.
  • Sending the entire stack removes the item from the sender as expected.

Smart Item Stacking

Transferred items can now automatically merge with an existing item in the recipient's inventory.

Items are stacked only when:

  • Their names match exactly (case-sensitive).
  • Their actual item data matches.

This means items with the same name will not be merged if they differ in properties such as:

  • Description
  • Rarity
  • Encumbrance
  • Modifiers
  • Active effects
  • Image
  • Item type
  • Other relevant item data

Technical Foundry fields and the current quantity are ignored when comparing items.

For example:

Medpack x3 + identical Medpack x2 → Medpack x5

but:

Medpack + Medpack with a different description, modifier, rarity, or other properties → two separate inventory entries.

Fixed:

  • Fixed a ReferenceError: copyTextStyle is not defined error that could repeatedly appear in the browser console while item context menus were being restyled.
  • Improved context-menu styling handling for the Item Transfer action.
  • Removed unnecessary development/debug console messages such as socket and initialization logs.
  • Errors and warnings are still preserved so actual module problems remain visible in the console.

@robert16444 robert16444 released this 02 Jan 17:31

This update is a quality-of-life pass for Genesys FFG tables: a lightweight Currency Manager, a smarter Talent/Spell Search with one-click casting powered by Force Pool, streamlined Item Transfer, and per-feature toggles that auto-reload the world when changed.

Added:

Currency Manager (Pouch)

Two transfer modes:

  • Send selected coins - sends exactly the denominations you picked; fails if you don’t have the exact coins.
  • Send by value (auto change-making) - subtracts the value using automatic denomination conversion.

Conversion option between currency type.

Talent/Spell Search

  • Searches talents from Items and from Species/Specializations with live filtering and description preview.
  • Cast directly from the pop'up: detects activation cost inside the description.
  • Configurable cost label via activationCostLabel (default “Koszt aktywacji”, built-in alias “Activation Cost”, case-insensitive).
  • Supports multiple levels/variants of cost.
  • Mana = Force Pool: cost is paid from the actor’s Force Pool; if insufficient, the cast is blocked and nothing is posted to chat.

Item Transfer

  • Context-menu action to send weapons/armor/gear to another player.
  • Recipient can Accept or Decline; the operation is executed with GM authority.

Feature toggles (defaults: ON)

  • enableCurrency — Currency Manager
  • enableItemSend — Item Transfer
  • enableTalentSearch — Talent/Spell Search
  • enableRequestRolls — GM “Request a Roll”

Saving any of these checkboxes auto-reloads the world for all clients.

Language setting - language (EN/PL).

Fixed

  • Casting is blocked when Force Pool is insufficient (user gets a message; no chat post).

Documentation

Updated README with:

  • Currency Manager + transfer mode behavior,
  • Talent/Spell Search (casting, activation cost label, Force Pool),
  • Detailed explanation of all module settings,
  • Note inviting contributors to add new languages (contact the author).

Upgrade Notes

After updating, review Module Settings → activationCostLabel if your spell texts use a custom phrase.
All feature toggles remain enabled by default.
