The seat check reads seats (#100). Every member's conventions job checks each commit's seat with companygraph commits against its organization's governing instance, at a meta-model release check.yml pins. That release stood at v0.68.0, which finds an instance's seats by the type role. Meta-model v0.87.0 renamed the type seat, and the family's three governing instances moved to it, so the v0.68.0 check found no seat in any of them and refused every seat-authored commit in every member that is not an instance itself. The check now runs at v0.87.0.

The family report also no longer counts a commit that touches only .github/dependabot.yml as unreleased work, since no consumer builds from that file; such a commit is maintenance, as a re-sync is.

What breaks. Nothing. A member on v1.44.0 or earlier keeps refusing seat-authored commits until it takes this release, so take it before the next commit a seat authors.

How to take it. The family resync moves every member's conventions.json to v1.45.0 and runs sh conventions/conventions-sync sync. By hand: set the tag in conventions.json to v1.45.0 and run the same command.
