We should profile CPU and memory usage of Robot Framework to see whether
there are any bottlenecks and to find possibly dead code.

We need to get 2.5 (or RC) out in May and we don't have time to implement
this.

If this is urgent to you and you want to help to get this done, we may
reconsider inclusion.

Not urgent at this time.
However, worth doing for answering the performance questions that arise when having
to test systems with Robot Framework installed for testing but not shipping.

We decided to close this issue because:

1. To keep the tracker clean it's better to have just enhancements and bug reports here and not random tasks.

2. We don't generally have performance problems with Robot except for report generation. Improving that part is already covered by issue 824 .

3. This is way too broad issue. If we get performance problems somewhere we can add a separate issues about testing and fixing them.
