Execution crashes after running one week reporting java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

Execution crashes after running one week. in course of running, I use Jconsole to observe memory usage of RF.System under test is swing application.

environment is shown below:
Python2.6,Jython2.5.1,RemoteApplication1.0.1,framework 2.5.4
jvm version:1.6.0_20
operating system:windows xp professional sp3

Hello!

Can you elaborate what kind of testing are you doing?
Is the tested application running in the same Java virtual machine?
How have you configured the Java virtual machine?

Quick fix:
You can get more max heap memory to jvm by setting -XmxMAXMEMORY option (for example -Xmx512M will give you 512 megabytes of memory instead of basic 64 megabytes).

Test suits including a lot of test cases, I want to execution running long time to observe system under test performance.
Because of using remoteapplications,there are two Java virtual machine.
I configure the Java virtual machine below "set _JAVA_MEM=-Xmx1024m" in jython.bat.

It's really hard to say what's going wrong here. Below are few questions that might give some more information about the problem:

1. Which JVM runs out of memory? The one where tests are running or the one that has your application?

2. Have you investigated allocating even more memory? I know one gigabyte ought to be enough, but knowing what happens if you have more memory would be interesting.

3. Are you absolutely sure adding memory like you did works? Have you noticed you can pass option like -J-Xmx1024m to jython.bat too. This is explained a bit more in the User Guide:
