Adding Cost Estimates for Human and AI
I've always used Codestellation for two things: as an architecture tool for system designs, and also as a spelunking tool for systems that already exist. Lately I've been helping some people do due diligence on vibe coded and semi-vibe coded software so I added cost estimates to Codestellation based on the COCOMO Model for humans and token cost and estimation for LLMs.
The 3d view now also highlights the files that are showing the highest cost, and the most complexity. The gutter also shows areas that are duplicated "within a box".

Few UI Fixes
- Adding arrow toggles
- "reflow by default" to the edge dialog
- Window resizing stays put
- CTRL+Right click drag adds groups on the box drawing screen
Dups, Complexity, Fixes
Adding some metrics in file view and adding line gutters to show info about the files.
Few slight rendering bug fixes too.
More Languages
Added support for proto buffers, typescript, sql, json, shell scripts, bat and powershell scripts.
Infrastructure and Components
Reimplementation of the Obsidian graph (2D) for the top layers of a project. This lets you make graphs for servers and components in "box diagram" styles (with markdown for the text). When you link into a code folder the code will open into the 3d view allowing you to group and comment on the code.
Also added overall project export for manuals and if you want to send full project instructions to an LLM instead of just from a specific file.
VB and PHP and UI fixes
Adding a few more languages (VB.net and PHP on top of Golang, C and Lisp). Also fixing a few UI issues like adding line number comments and panning with shaded windows.
Fix windows path
When running codemap-view on windows, trying to load a directory was causing problems due to "/" vs "\"
