QJams Beata 2.0
QJams is a lightweight, natively compiled C application built for real-time audio and video workflows. The video-synced jamming and practice tool with 12-track recording and real time gain staging. Built for musicians on Linux. It started as a humble Quad Cortex practice tool but works with any modeler. It Evolved. Connect Anything!
Plug in your audio interface and start jamming. Combine the live 12-track recorder with perfectly synced video capture so you can look back at exactly how you nailed that take. Built natively in C for Linux for maximum performance and zero latency.
All betas are fully functional and rigorously tested on:
- A powerful Cirrus7 Incus (AMD Ryzen 7 8700G) with 64GB of RAM.
- An entry-level NUC (Intel Core i3 Processor N355) with 16GB of RAM.
QJams runs flawlessly on both systems. More memory allows for more creativity with longer tracks and extended video timelines.

Video is now permanently enabled and visible as just another layer alongside the 12 stereo audio tracks. We now have DAW-quality editing functions, a large 64-state dynamic undo/redo buffer, and numerous quality-of-life improvements. QJams can now be your daily driver.
Behind the scenes, QJams has transformed its monolithic memory allocation into a dynamic, system-aware architecture, further improving speed and resource usage while opening the door for exciting new functionality.
