PrintPDF 1.0

PrintPDF is a macOS virtual printer that saves print jobs as PDF files in a folder chosen by each user. It supports local folders and cloud-synced folders such as iCloud Drive, Google Drive, and Dropbox.

The main advantage over RWTS PDFwriter is that PrintPDF moves each completed PDF as a real file directly into the selected folder. RWTS PDFwriter's utility instead creates a symbolic link from the chosen location to its spool directory. PrintPDF does not use a symbolic link for the destination.

Important: unsigned installer

This free community release is unsigned and not notarized. macOS will therefore warn or block the installer the first time it is opened.

1. Download the installer, source archive, and checksum file below.
2. Verify the installer against PrintPDF-1.0-SHA256.txt.
3. Double-click PrintPDF-1.0-unsigned.pkg.
4. If macOS blocks it, dismiss the warning, then open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to Security, and click Open Anyway.
5. Authenticate, confirm Open, and complete the installation.

Only proceed if you trust the source and verified checksum. Do not disable Gatekeeper, change global security policy, or remove quarantine attributes. Company-managed Macs may prevent manual approval.
