Release 3.0.0 contains only minor enhancements for command line ddcutil, but it is extensively changed "under the hood". These changes particularly affect its handling of display connection and disconnection, both in terms of performance and reliability. Hence the version number bump to 3.0.0. Users of KDE Plasma will want to update as soon as possible.
