A minimal new tab page for Chromium based browsers.
Runs entirely on your machine, makes no network requests.
Tiles are sites you pick, each with an image you choose.
1. As a local page:
Clone the repo, then set your new tab URL to newtab.html:
file:///path/to/quicktab/newtab.html
2. As an extension:
Clone the repo, open:
chrome://extensions
Enable Developer mode, click "Load unpacked" and select the folder.
Just set your sites, their images, and you are good to go.
If the color of the default about:blank page in your browser doesn't suit you, with this extension you can set up a single-color blank new tab page. Just hover your mouse over the top-right portion of the viewport, head into settings, set the color, and select Blank:
