  • Tells you when macOS blocks it: if Bambu Bar isn't allowed on your local network (System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network), the setup page and the printer card now say so, with a button that opens the right switch. Once access is on, it finds and reconnects to your printers by itself.
  • Add a printer by its IP address alone: the serial number is now optional under Enter address manually. Bambu Bar reads it from the printer's certificate, after checking it's a genuine Bambu Lab printer, before sending the access code. Printers added this way get the right model.
  • Connect says what's missing: pressing Return with no printer picked, or without the code, now explains what to do instead of doing nothing.

Install: download Bambu-Bar-1.2.0-macos.zip, unzip it and move Bambu Bar.app to Applications. Universal (Apple silicon and Intel), signed and notarized. Requires macOS 26 or later.

Verify with shasum -a 256 -c Bambu-Bar-1.2.0-macos.zip.sha256.
