- Downloads accept names the filesystem refuses, including colons and accents
- PS2 file-based saves download correctly
- Manage Cores responds to touch
- Mupen64Plus FZ Pro registered so its saves sync
- Buttons bound to Back can be mapped to the built-in emulator
- Save rows name the right sync direction
v2.8.0 Beta 5
New Features
- DS and 3DS games play their second screen on the lower display with the built-in emulator, touch included
- PC-FX, CD-i and Jaguar play on the built-in emulator (new cores, please report what breaks; CD-i needs its BIOS romsets)
- Manage save states from the second screen: a slot grid with screenshots, copy a state into another slot, delete one
- Sort with installed games or favourites first, applied the same way on home, the library, the auto grid and the second screen
- Delete an installed core to free space, keeping its settings for it
- Hold A on the home screen for the tile menu, which frees Select to swap displays
Improvements
- Save states sync alongside saves, with the newest quick-save carried as the auto state
- Deleting a save state removes it from your server too
- States from a session too short to back up are kept and uploaded, instead of waiting for a longer one
- Collections and Library are back in the dual-screen nav drawer, off the bottom screen
- Custom grid pages bring their backdrop, blur and music to the second screen
- The sync notification shows which platform is syncing
- Game detail on the second screen shows the title ID and can recheck it
- The state manager names the save channel its states belong to
Bug Fixes
- Fix the game queue on the dual-screen custom grid
- Fix in-game settings skipping the rows below Low Latency Audio
- Stop restoring 3DS states Azahar cannot read back, which left a black screen
- Stop one console's second-screen split carrying into the next game
- Games with characters the filesystem refuses download under a readable name instead of one stamped with underscores
- M3U playlists are written as UTF-8, so accented disc names survive
- Saves and states no longer show up as games when syncing your library
- Games land on the right platform when two platforms share a file extension
- Fix saves failing on platforms that keep both folder and file saves, where a folder was written over a file save's path
v2.8.0 Beta 4
New Features
- Collection tiles on the custom grid play a collection one game at a time: A launches the current game instead of opening the list, Y marks it Finished and moves the tile to the next game, already downloaded in the background
- Argosy reports the game you are playing to your RomM server as well as Argosy Social, with no social account required
Improvements
- Companion screen gains navigation sounds and haptics, native cover shapes, and the artwork-scraping indicator
- Show Every Game now applies to the companion rows too
- Curated grid pages honour the native cover shape setting
- Video tiles resume where they left off, and any tile opens game details
- The info panel no longer resizes the row under the cursor
- Platform order set in Settings > Platforms survives a library sync
- Multi-disc downloads land in a folder named after their .m3u playlist, so ES-DE lists one entry per game
- The RetroArch core picker uses RetroArch's own core names
Bug Fixes
- 3DS games run on the built-in Azahar core instead of crashing at launch
- Atari 2600 games load on the built-in Stella core
- BIOS files reach the built-in player for every platform that needs one, including ColecoVision, Game Boy and DS
- DSi BIOS files no longer overwrite the DS ones
- Pausing with Skip Duplicate Frames on no longer freezes the emulator
- Hotkey combos no longer pass their individual buttons through to the game
- A game that fails to load no longer overwrites its save
- PSP installed game data stays out of save sync, so it is never uploaded and never deleted when a save is restored
- Genesis / Mega Drive shows its proper name instead of "Genesis Slash Megadrive"

- Add to Grid picker missed installed games
- Dual-screen: dock, library and collections were unreachable from the custom grid

v2.8.0 Beta 1
Jellyfin Media (Early Preview)
Argosy now connects to a Jellyfin server, so your films and shows sit next to your games. Sign in with a code and your libraries appear on the home screen and in search. Playing something opens Argosy's own player, with subtitles, chapters and resume, and you can download a film, a series, or just the episodes you pick and watch them offline.
It's early and we're testing it in the open. Please report anything that looks wrong, especially video that won't play, downloads that stall or come out the wrong size, and anything filed under the wrong show or season.
New Features
- Jellyfin support: your films and shows on the home screen, in search, and pinnable to the custom grid where they play in place
- Nintendo 3DS support through the Azahar core
- Save slots stay where you make them, even before anything is saved into them
Improvements
- Pause, resume or cancel a whole series as one download
- The library opens on your consoles instead of every game at once
- Brightness, clock format, screen timeout and rotation follow your system settings
- Controllers that need grip mode now switch to it themselves (thanks @DanielADennis)
- Argosy finds your RetroArch settings in more places, and lets you correct it when it guesses wrong
Bug Fixes
- Save states no longer duplicate slots or stall on states your server has dropped
- Argosy no longer interrupts your game if Android restarts it in the background
- Fixed deeplink launching
v2.7.0
New Features
- Combine Content for Switch: keep every game in the platform folder with all updates and DLC in one shared folder, so Eden can manage what is active
- Save state settings can now be set per platform instead of only globally
Bug Fixes
- Switch updates and DLC now reach Eden reliably, including games downloaded as a single archive and Eden fork or nightly builds
v2.6.3
Bug Fixes
- Restore save states for Nintendo 64 and other hardware-rendered cores
- Fix Dreamcast running too fast on menus and other low frame rate screens
- Fix the picture cropping when a core renders above its native resolution
- Fix built-in core settings for Dreamcast and Nintendo 64 never reaching the emulator
- Stop offering save state actions for cores that cannot use them
v2.6.2
Bug Fixes
- Text fields accept input again. Search, save slot names and every other text box were unusable
- The new save slot dialog gained Cancel and Create buttons
- The in-game status bar is now correctly wired to the in-game menu, so its toggles work, and it lives under Video instead of Controls
- PlayStation memory cards from other emulators now land where the built-in core reads them, including cards saved before the change
- The clock and battery now show on the upper screen in dual-screen mode
v2.6.1
New Features
- Controller Grip mode: reserve space at the bottom of the screen in portrait so a clamp-on controller, like the Pocket Taco, doesn't cover the interface or the game (thanks @DanielADennis)
- Compact Footer option for a thinner control guide bar
- GameNative Frontend Sync: Argosy reads GameNative's install markers so your Steam games show as installed, and notices when you uninstall one. Set each store's folder under Settings > Steam > GameNative Library
Improvements
- GOG, Epic and Amazon imports now take a folder each, matching how GameNative exports them
- Picks now offers sixteen games instead of eight
- Stepper settings adjust by touch: tap the left half to decrease, the right half to increase
- Long package names no longer squeeze game titles out of the way
- RomM support is now consolidated on the latest three versions. Older servers may still work, but expect compatibility issues if you are too far behind
- Section Style has been removed from the auto grid; the section name already appears in the header
- UI Scale no longer changes when you press A. Use left and right, or the on-screen minus and plus
Bug Fixes
- Android is a permanent platform again, with its scan for installed games restored. Both were hidden by the settings restructure
- RetroAchievements never matched a game by hash, so achievements silently never started (thanks @DragonRollDev)
- Revised how downloaded content is detected, so games already on your device that were previously missed are now recognised. Changing a platform's folder also rescans it immediately
- Game details are centred in portrait instead of squeezed beside the cover
