Poetrystack

Restack poetry on Substack.

Poetrystack adds a floating toolbar whenever you highlight a poetry block on any Substack post. One click opens the notes composer, builds a styled quote card from your selection, and attaches the screenshot automatically - no copying, no screenshotting, no manual formatting.

Install

→ Get it on the Chrome Web Store

How it works

  1. Open any Substack post with poetry
  2. Highlight the lines you want to restack
  3. Click Restack with note in the floating toolbar
  4. Pick a quote card theme
  5. Keep the post preview visible alongside the card (this notifies the author)
  6. Hit Post

You can also click Copy quote to copy the selected text straight to your clipboard.

Features

  • Detects poetry blocks automatically (<pre> tags and poem-classed elements)
  • 9 quote card themes - solid colors and blurred image backgrounds
  • Left and center text alignment
  • Preserves bold and italic formatting from the original poem
  • Falls back to clipboard copy if Substack's UI can't be found
  • Works on substack.com and custom Substack domains
  • No data collected, no external servers, no analytics

Privacy

Poetrystack collects nothing. No data leaves your browser. See the full privacy policy.
