Changed — the memory hook runs in the background, quietly, once at a time
The global end-of-session hook (rtfm memory --install-hook) ran in every
session, agents' sandboxes included, where RTFM's Python is out of sight:
each of those session ends reported "not found". It also held the end of
every session while it read all projects' memory (about 5 s here). It now
runs in the background, says nothing when RTFM cannot be reached, and runs
one pass at a time — several sessions ending together start one pass.
Rerun rtfm memory --install-hook to get the new entry.
Fixed — a memory directory shared by a link was indexed twice
A project whose memory directory is a link to another project's had the
same files indexed under both names; they fought over one entry and every
pass ended in "UNIQUE constraint failed". Each directory is now indexed
once, under the project that holds it, and the duplicate is taken out.
Fixed — installing a hook rewrote accented text in Claude Code settings
Writing settings.json turned every non-ASCII character of the user's
other settings into \u escapes. It is now written as it was read.
