DeutschLMS 0.3.0 adds a question type for German articles, a picture library for nouns and a test mode for quizzes.

Download deutschlms-0.3.0.zip below (not "Source code"). It is ready to install: in WordPress go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, choose the zip, then Activate.

Updating from 0.2.0: back up your site, then upload the zip the same way; WordPress offers to replace the installed version. Courses, students, progress and quiz results are kept.

Requires: WordPress 6.5+, PHP 8.1+ (with the dom and mbstring extensions; gd for certificate background images).

New in 0.3.0

• Article questions (der, die, das): the student sees the noun with its picture and picks the article. Colour-coded: der blue, die red, das green (the article is always written too, so colour is never the only signal). After checking, the result shows only "Your answer" and, when it was wrong, "Correct answer".
• Noun picture library (Courses → Noun pictures): one picture per noun, used by every question and card with that noun. Choose an icon from the bundled Tabler Icons (5,000+ line icons, MIT licence, searchable in English) or upload an image from the Media Library. A noun can also use another noun's picture (Tischlampe → Lampe).
• Shortcodes for lesson pages: [dlms_noun der Tisch] cards, inline coloured nouns, [dlms_nouns] grids and [dlms_article_legend].
• Quiz test mode: anyone who can edit a course (its author, LMS Admins, Administrators) and is not enrolled can try its quizzes. Answers are checked and shown, nothing is saved, and no timer starts.
• REST: POST /dlms/v1/noun-pictures to set or remove a noun's picture.
• German translation updated.

The first public release of DeutschLMS, a secure, lightweight learning management system for WordPress.

Download deutschlms-0.2.0.zip below (not "Source code"). It is ready to install: in WordPress go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, choose the zip, then Activate. A Courses menu appears in the admin.

The "Source code" archives are the development repository (tests, block sources, tools); use them only if you want to work on the code.

What's in it

• Courses → lessons → topics → quizzes, with a drag-and-drop course builder and section headings
• Free enrollment, access control, optional linear progression and drip content
• Progress tracking, "Mark complete", a student dashboard
• Quizzes graded on the server (answers never reach the browser): multiple choice, true/false, gap-fill (with an ä/ö/ü/ß bar) and word order (drag-and-drop or dropdowns). Pass mark, attempt limit, answer review, time limit
• Question bank (new in 0.2.0): every question is stored once and can be used in many quizzes; edit it once and every quiz is updated. Categories, difficulty (Leicht/Mittel/Schwer) and CEFR level (A1–C2), plus random-question rules
• PDF certificates with a per-course heading, signer and background
• Six blocks and shortcodes, overridable templates, REST API, hooks
• Roles: Student, Instructor, LMS Admin
• German translation included; works with WPML and Polylang
