Release list
v0.82.7
v0.82.6
- The Metrics tab's process lists show each process's id beside its name, as the TV's own logs name processes (#601).
- With syslog forwarding of the kernel log on, the kernel log is read every 30 seconds instead of every 5, which on a CX (webOS 5) had made the TV's own luna-send calls abort far more often (#600).
v0.82.5
- The Homebrew Channel package passes the Homebrew Channel's compatibility check for webOS 4 again. Its web dashboard scripts are packaged inline, as the dashboard has always been served (#598).
v0.82.4
- The project's repository is now github.com/rorygallagher2024/glasshouse and its docs are at rorygallagher2024.github.io/glasshouse. Old links redirect, and TVs on any release keep updating (#595, #596).
- The TV app's "open an issue" message in Spanish links to the project, where its address had been translated (#596).
v0.82.3
v0.82.2
- Updating from the dashboard or Home Assistant works again. Since 0.82.0 it failed with "the downloaded release declares vnull"; TVs on 0.82.0 or 0.82.1 can install this release in place (#586, #587).
- Home Assistant no longer rejects the server's update state for the first couple of minutes after it starts (#587).
- Hide private details on the Tools tab also takes postcodes and coordinates out of copied and exported logs. The TV's own logs can include the owner's postcode (#584).
v0.82.1
- The web dashboard's tabs are in a sidebar, as in Home Assistant: listed down the left on a computer, and on a phone behind a menu bar that names the current tab and slides the list in from the left. The Server tab can hide the sidebar on a wide screen, kept per browser like the theme (#581).
- On the Tools tab, the Redact switch is replaced by a Hide private details checkbox beside Copy and Export, ticked by default: copied and exported logs leave out IP and MAC addresses, serial numbers and Wi-Fi names unless it is unticked. The log on screen always shows everything (#579).
v0.82.0
- The Tools tab works on a phone, with each log line's message shown full width, and its layout is simpler: error and warning counts sit on their filters, Live and Redact are switches, and Jump to latest appears after scrolling away from the newest line (#575).
- The Tools tab only fetches the log lines that are new, and stops while the browser tab is hidden (#570).
- Glasshouse's own log lines say whether they are information, a warning or an error, and a crash is written to the log before the server exits.
- A Redact switch on the Tools tab hides passwords, tokens, serial numbers, Wi-Fi names, and MAC and IP addresses in the view and in what is copied or exported.
- How much the server writes to its log can be set with
"logging": { "level": "quiet" | "info" | "debug" }inconfig.json. The Tools docs page covers it. - Just after the server's log is trimmed, the Tools tab still shows the lines from before it.
- The HDMI cards on the Metrics tab update when the source changes its colour mode or bit depth (#574).
- After a restart, the first readings arrive complete instead of as an error, and the server no longer logs a stats timeout warning (#576).
- The LG NU80 (43NU800BPSC, webOS 26) is in the tested TVs list, with a hardware profile (#573).
v0.81.0
- A new Tools tab shows the TV's system log, Glasshouse's own log and, optionally, the kernel log in one list, with filters and search, for troubleshooting without SSH (#523).
- The service menu tab describes what EZ Adjust and In Start are each for.
- On TVs whose firmware has no HDMI input map, such as a C9 on webOS 4, every HDMI input's signal and link are found, where HDMI 4 and some sources were missed before (#553).
- Prometheus gains the foreground app and HDMI input names, the signal format with its HDR metadata (mastering luminance, MaxCLL and MaxFALL) and game mode. An SDR source's format is named sdr.
- deploy.sh says it needs bash when run from another shell, rather than stopping on a syntax error (#564).
v0.80.8
• Capture Red, Green, Yellow, and Blue button presses on LG Magic and IR remotes, exposed as an event entity in Home Assistant (event.<device_id>_remote_button) whenever MQTT is enabled on supported TVs (#534, #544).
• Clear false "Running" state for OLED panel maintenance when the TV is in Active Standby, relying strictly on kernel compensation state files (#545).
• Read webOS 5's HDMI frame rate from getVRRInfo sublist strings when available (#543).
• Export whether a powered source is detected on each HDMI input as binary sensors (#541).
