Passing --edit to bloom-release, I was able to update the branch from ros2 to galactic in ros_ign-release, see this commit automatically made by bloom:

ros2-gbp/ros_ign-release@85198e9

But bloom wasn't smart enough to edit the branch in this PR, so I had to change it manually in 373232b.

I believe this issue is already tracked here: ros-infrastructure/bloom#403
