This Format Library release includes:

  • PRONOM release 112 (also includes PRONOM releases 110 and 111; 68 new files formats, other changes, including PRONOM Classifications)
  • DROID plugin updated to 6.6.1, includes new signature files (signature 112, container 34)
  • Application library refresh continues with newly added applications (incl. mapping to relevant file formats; see Application_Library_refresh tab)
  • FL updates in order to keep FL entries consistent with PRONOM (FL Admin)
  • 69 format PUIDs deprecated in PRONOM are now flagged as ‘Obsolete’ in Format Library to be consistent with PRONOM (see ‘deprecated_PUIDs tab’)
  • new significant properties and mapping added for TIFF-hul-1-26 (geoTIFF) and PDF-hul-1.26 JHOVE modules (see new_mapping tabs); both plugin versions raised to 1.2
  • new mapping for MediaInfo plugin-audio added (45 properties - see MediaInfo_Audio_mapping tab)
  • new significant properties and mapping added for ASCII-hul-1.26 JHOVE module (see ASCII-HUL_mapping tab)
  • new significant properties and mapping added for EWF disk image metadata extractor plugin (see new_EWF_mapping tab]; EWF plugin not part of Global FL
  • new format Classification of “Disk Image” added; and mapped to EWF metadata extractor plugin

For manual upload to Rosetta you will need to rename the .zip file into "2023-10-26-7.4112.zip" for example.
