This release includes:

  • PRONOM release 116 (also includes PRONOM releases 114 and 115 (113 was never released); 84 new files formats, other changes including PRONOM Classifications and other details – Documentation, Developer added etc.)
  • rebuilt DROID plugin so it includes new signature files (signature 116, container 36)
  • added JHOVE 1.28 plugins (all versioned as version 1.0) – all PUIDs assigned with JHOVE 1.26 plugins are now assigned to JHOVE 1.28 plugins (incl. XML PUIDs - fmt/101; fmt/102; fmt/103; fmt/120; fmt/121; x-fmt/227 which were still assigned to XML-hul-1.24 plugin)
  • JHOVE 1.24 plugins deleted from the FL package (except XML-hul-1.24 which might still be needed for use)
  • 3 new Classification groups added: Aggregate; Model and Dataset
  • fmt/1281 (WARC 1.1) and fmt/1355 (WARC 1.0) assigned “Webharvest” Classification and linked to “nz.govt.natlib.adapter.arc.WarcAdapter” metadata extractor (requested by BSB)
  • new mapping for PDF JHOVE Plugin (PDF-hul-1.28) – 50 new properties, focused on viewer preferences; images; and fonts
  • additional 18 significant properties and mapping for geoTIFF added for TIFF JHOVE (TIFF-hul-1.28) module
  • fixes in WAVE JHOVE plugin mapping (WAVE-hul-1.28/1.26/1.24)
  • FL updates in order to keep FL entries consistent with PRONOM (FL Admin)

For manual upload to Rosetta you will need to rename the .zip file into "2024-03-07-8.0116.zip" for example.
