This release includes:

  • PRONOM release 119 (also includes PRONOM signature version 118; 117 was never released); 64 new files formats, other changes including PRONOM Classifications and other details – Documentation, Developer added etc.)
  • DROID plugin updated to version 6.8.0; with new signature files (signature 119, container 38); dependencies and plugin libraries updated
  • PDF-hul-1.28 plugin updated so it extracts page count into object.pageCount property (see “new_JHOVE_PDF_mapping” Tab) – plugin version raised to 2.0
  • WAVE-hul-1.28 plugin updated - 4 missing attributes added to support new mapping, plugin version raised to 2.0
  • new mapping added for JHOVE 1.28 WAVE module (see “new_JHOVE_WAVE_mapping” tab)
  • EPUB JHOVE 1.28 plugin mapping fixes – see ‘property_mapping_changes’ tab; plugin version raised to 2.0
  • EPUB JHOVE 1.28 plugin also updated so it lists all fonts in the epub file not only random one
  • PDF-hul-1.28 extractor un-assigned from fmt/1129 (PDF 2.0)
  • UTF8-hul-1.28 metadata extractor assigned to fmt/869 (CDX Internet Archive Index)
  • ExifTool metadata extractor mapping for “layered” PDF formats added (see “new_ExifToolMDExtractorPlugin-PDF_mapping tab; please note that ExifTool plugin is NOT bundled in FL)
  • FL updates in order to keep FL entries consistent with PRONOM (FL Admin refresh)

For manual upload to Rosetta you will need to rename the .zip file into "2024-10-15-8.1119.zip" for example.
