  • Compressed raw release images (.raw.xz), alongside QCOW2 and Incus images.
  • 10 GiB default disks, reduced from 32 GiB.
  • Automatic root growth at boot for ext4, Btrfs and XFS when root is the last partition with free space behind it.
  • LUKS2 root growth before unlocking, followed by filesystem growth—using one normal password prompt.
  • Direct block-device installer for USB, NVMe and SSD drives, with filesystem selection and checks against mounted, busy, read-only or replaced disks.
  • Optional LUKS2 encryption through block_install --encrypt, plus --no-grow-root to disable automatic expansion.
  • Incus filesystem selection: ext4 by default, with Btrfs and XFS options for OCI installations.
  • Managed Incus OS disks: temporary installation storage is cleaned up after verification; deleting the VM also removes its OS disk.
  • Default core administrator with passwordless sudo and installation SSH keys copied to both root and core.
  • Persistent Homebrew, owned by core, initialized offline, with command paths available to all users and shells—including root.
  • Distrobox and rootless-container support, plus Debian Open vSwitch and supporting build tools.
  • Expanded CI tests and documentation covering installers, encryption, growth, Homebrew, Incus, QEMU and bare-metal testing.
