New features:

  • The message list now shows received messages as NEW until they have been read.
  • If a delivery receipt is received for a message we didn't send, don't discard it. Instead, create a fake "sent" message with the proper local message ID, and attach the receipt to that. (The receipt will still be discarded if we can't discern a local message ID from it.)
  • packet connect now accepts a --verbose (or -v) flag, which causes the conversation with the BBS to be displayed on standard output (as well as recorded in packet.log).
  • Add a description of the message list format to packet help list.

Bug fixes:

  • packet edit config now properly saves telnet hostname and port number.
  • Improve error messages related to problems talking to the TNC.
  • Do not display password in clear text while editing configuration.
  • Correct behavior of packet bulletins --stop when given a bulletin area that wasn't being checked.
  • Show serial port setting in packet show config.
