Controller detected but buttons not detected when activated within a deck

Issue:
When navigating to a deck with my mouse and keyboard, and click into it onto my first card, sometimes I don't use my controller (Switch Pro Controller) until in the deck. Upon clicking any button with the controller, it shows the pop up "Switch Pro Connected" so it is detected, but none of the buttons are being registered. Even if I click out and back into a deck with my mouse and keyboard.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Launch Anki
2. Navigate to deck with Mouse and Keyboard
3. Click start on Deck
4. Key any button on controller so Contanki Detects
5. Controller should be detected but no keystroke registers with the deck

Current workaround:

1. Clicking buttons on controller prior to navigating to deck, they then should register once in the deck.
