Playback Speed & Settings Overhaul
Full speed controls, video titles, data backup, and a redesigned settings page

  • Playback Speed Control: All four player modes — New Tab, Current Tab, In-Page Overlay, and Floating Player — now include dedicated speed controls.
    • Speed Badge: Hover over the player to see the current speed (e.g. 1x, 1.5x, 2x).
    • Keyboard Shortcuts: Press [ to decrease speed and ] to increase speed — fully customizable in settings.
    • Configurable Range: Set your preferred minimum speed (default 0.25x), maximum speed (default 3x), and step size (default 0.25x).
  • Settings Data Export & Import: Export all your settings as a timestamped JSON file for backup, or import a previously saved file to restore your configuration instantly.

Playback Mode Update
Choose how videos open on YouTube

🎯 What's New

  • 4 Playback Modes: Choose between New Tab, Current Tab, In-Page Overlay, or Floating Player — accessible from the extension settings.
  • In-Page Overlay: Watch videos in a full-screen overlay with a dark blurred backdrop. YouTube stays visible at ~25% behind. Close with the × button or Escape key.
  • Floating Player: A draggable, resizable PiP-style player that stays on top while you browse YouTube. Minimize to a corner pill, resize from the bottom-right, or stack multiple players for different videos.
