SLT Dashboard
The SLT view is a simplified, traffic-light dashboard designed for senior leadership -- a head, business manager or governor who wants to know "is IT OK?" at a glance, without the technical detail of the main dashboard.
Open it at
https://<server-address>:8443/slt, or from the SLT View item in the sidebar.
The SLT view rolls the whole estate up into a small number of red / amber / green status indicators. Each light represents an area of IT health (for example backups, security, infrastructure, cloud services), derived from the underlying connector status:
- Green -- everything in that area is healthy.
- Amber -- something needs attention but isn't urgent.
- Red -- something needs action now.
There's no jargon, no per-device detail, and nothing that requires technical knowledge to read. The goal is a 5-second "all clear" or "go and ask IT about X".
- Senior leadership who are accountable for IT but don't manage it day to day -- a fair, honest snapshot they can trust.
- Governors / trustees during a meeting, as evidence that IT risk is being monitored (useful alongside Cyber Essentials and safeguarding reporting).
- A wall display in the IT office or reception -- because it loads fast and stays readable at a distance.
The SLT view deliberately reads straight from Groundskeeper's stored status and does not depend on AI. Even if AI is disabled, mid-summary, or a cloud provider is slow, the traffic lights render immediately. It's built to be the most reliable, lowest-friction screen in the product -- exactly what you want for something left up on a display or opened in front of leadership.
Because it's just a web page on your network, you can leave it open on any browser -- a spare monitor, a meeting-room display, or a kiosk machine. A few tips:
- Point the browser at
https://<server-address>:8443/sltand full-screen it. - On a shared display machine, trust the Groundskeeper certificate first (see Getting Started and Troubleshooting & FAQ) so there's no certificate warning to click through.
- The page refreshes itself, so it stays current without intervention.
- Getting Started -- installation and first-run setup.
- AI Features -- note that the SLT view works with AI off.
- Connectors -- the data sources behind the traffic lights.
