ReteGet 0.6.0 — browse server folders, asks before leaving HTTPS

Browse server folders. Browse next to Target URL opens the folder of the address over SFTP, FTP, FTPS or http(s). For http(s) it tries WebDAV first (most NAS boxes, Nextcloud) and otherwise reads the HTML index page of nginx or Apache. Folders come first, with sizes and dates; tap a folder to open it, Up to go back. Check files and folders and tap Download: a checked folder comes with all its subfolders into Download/<folder>/…, as on the server, after a confirmation with the number of files and their size (at most 8 levels and 1,000 files). Host keys, certificates and passwords are handled as for downloads. An sftp:// or ftp:// address ending in / opens the folder instead of downloading, and a preset's Latest can look in an SFTP or FTP folder too. Works on Android 2.3.

Asks before leaving HTTPS. When a server redirects an https:// download to plain http://, the download stops and asks. Continue over http allows that one http server for that download only.

Clearer status line (from an F-Droid tester's report): a new download clears what the screen said about the last one; a failed or cancelled download says so instead of leaving the previous success and checksum; a file saved in app storage says whether the storage permission was refused. Latest past GitHub's limit for requests without an account says so instead of "HTTP 403". The remaining English texts are translated into Korean.

ReteGet 0.6.0 — 서버 폴더 탐색, HTTPS를 벗어나기 전에 묻기

서버 폴더 탐색. Target URL 옆의 탐색이 주소의 폴더를 SFTP·FTP·FTPS·http(s)로 엽니다. http(s)는 먼저 WebDAV(대부분의 NAS, Nextcloud)로 읽고, 안 되면 nginx·Apache의 HTML 색인 페이지를 읽습니다. 폴더가 먼저 나오고 크기와 날짜가 함께 보입니다. 폴더를 누르면 들어가고 위로로 나옵니다. 파일과 폴더에 체크하고 받기를 누르면, 체크한 폴더는 하위 폴더까지 서버와 같은 구조로 Download/<폴더>/…에 받습니다. 받기 전에 파일 수와 크기를 확인하고, 한도는 8단계, 파일 1,000개입니다. 호스트 키·인증서·비밀번호 처리는 다운로드와 같습니다. /로 끝나는 sftp://·ftp:// 주소는 다운로드 대신 폴더를 열고, 프리셋의 Latest도 SFTP·FTP 폴더에서 찾습니다. 안드로이드 2.3에서도 동작합니다.

HTTPS를 벗어나기 전에 묻기. 서버가 https:// 다운로드를 평문 http://로 리다이렉트하면 다운로드를 멈추고 묻습니다. http로 계속을 누르면 그 다운로드에 한해 그 http 서버로 가는 것을 허용합니다.

더 분명한 상태 줄(F-Droid 테스터의 제보): 새 다운로드를 시작하면 이전 파일에 대한 표시를 지웁니다. 실패하거나 취소하면 이전 성공과 체크섬을 남기지 않고 그렇게 알립니다. 앱 저장소에 저장했을 때는 저장소 권한을 거부해서인지 알려 줍니다. GitHub의 계정 없는 요청 한도에 걸리면 "HTTP 403" 대신 그렇게 알리고, 남은 영어 문구를 한국어로 옮겼습니다.

ReteGet 0.5.0

ReteGet 0.5.0 — SFTP, FTPS, resumed downloads, logins

SFTP (sftp://user:password@host/path). ReteGet now has its own SSH-2 client, written in plain Java like its TLS, so it works on Android 2.3 too. The first time you connect, the server's host key fingerprint is shown and nothing is sent until you tap Trust; if the key later differs, the download stops and shows both fingerprints. Log in with the password in the URL or with a key: under SSH keys you can generate an Ed25519 key on the phone (copy its public key into the server's authorized_keys) or import an OpenSSH key file (Ed25519 or RSA), then choose the key for an address or a preset. A key with a passphrase stays encrypted on the phone and is unlocked once per run of the app. Tested against OpenSSH 10.0.

FTPS (ftpes:// explicit, ftps:// implicit). FTP over TLS with ReteGet's own TLS 1.3 / 1.2. The password and the file both travel inside TLS, and the data connection reuses the TLS session as vsftpd, ProFTPD and others require. A certificate that cannot be verified (the usual self-signed one of a NAS) is shown with its SHA-256 fingerprint; after Trust that server must always present exactly that certificate. Tested against vsftpd 3.0.5 and ProFTPD 1.3.8.

Broken downloads continue where they stopped. HTTP(S), FTP, FTPS and SFTP downloads are written to name.part and renamed when complete. If the connection drops, ReteGet continues on its own up to three times, and Retry continues too, also after the app was closed. A file that changed on the server is fetched again from the start instead of being spliced. HTTP needs a server that sends an ETag or Last-Modified date; FTP needs REST and MDTM.

Password-protected HTTP servers. Put the user name and password in the URL (http://user:password@host/path). They are sent only when the server asks, with Digest (SHA-256 or MD5) when offered and otherwise Basic, and only to the address they were written for. Passwords are shown as *** and left out of settings exports.

Fixed: Android 6 and newer never got the storage question, so downloads went to the app's own storage unless the permission was granted in the system settings. ReteGet now asks at the first download (not when it starts); if you decline, the app's storage is used as before.

Not in this version: no ChaCha20 or SHA-1 signatures for SSH, no ECDSA or PuTTY private keys, no browsing of server directories.

ReteGet 0.5.0 — SFTP, FTPS, 이어받기, 로그인

SFTP(sftp://user:password@host/path). TLS처럼 순수 Java로 직접 구현한 SSH-2 클라이언트가 들어가, 안드로이드 2.3에서도 동작합니다. 처음 접속할 때 서버의 호스트 키 지문을 보여 주고 Trust를 누르기 전에는 아무것도 보내지 않습니다. 나중에 키가 달라지면 두 지문을 보여 주며 다운로드를 멈춥니다. 주소의 비밀번호나 키로 로그인합니다: SSH keys에서 폰으로 Ed25519 키를 만들거나(공개 키를 서버의 authorized_keys에 복사) OpenSSH 키 파일(Ed25519 또는 RSA)을 가져온 뒤, 주소나 프리셋마다 쓸 키를 고릅니다. 암호가 걸린 키는 폰에 암호화된 채 저장되고 앱을 켤 때마다 한 번 풉니다. OpenSSH 10.0으로 시험했습니다.

FTPS(명시적 ftpes://, 암묵적 ftps://). ReteGet 자체 TLS 1.3 / 1.2로 보호하는 FTP입니다. 비밀번호와 파일이 모두 TLS 안에서 오가고, 데이터 연결은 vsftpd·ProFTPD 등이 요구하는 대로 TLS 세션을 이어 씁니다. 검증할 수 없는 인증서(NAS의 자체 서명 인증서가 보통 그렇습니다)는 SHA-256 지문과 함께 보여 주고, Trust한 뒤에는 그 서버가 항상 정확히 그 인증서를 제시해야 합니다. vsftpd 3.0.5와 ProFTPD 1.3.8로 시험했습니다.

끊긴 다운로드를 멈춘 곳부터 이어받습니다. HTTP(S)·FTP·FTPS·SFTP 다운로드는 이름.part에 쓰고 다 받으면 이름을 바꿉니다. 연결이 끊기면 스스로 세 번까지 이어받고, Retry로도 이어받으며, 앱이 닫혔다 다시 열려도 됩니다. 서버에서 파일이 바뀌었으면 섞지 않고 처음부터 다시 받습니다. HTTP는 서버가 ETag나 Last-Modified를 보내야 하고, FTP는 REST와 MDTM이 필요합니다.

비밀번호가 걸린 HTTP 서버. 주소에 사용자 이름과 비밀번호를 넣습니다(http://user:password@host/path). 서버가 요구할 때만, 서버가 제시하면 Digest(SHA-256 또는 MD5)로, 아니면 Basic으로, 입력한 주소에만 보냅니다. 비밀번호는 ***로 보이고 설정 내보내기에서 빠집니다.

수정: 안드로이드 6 이상에서 저장소 권한을 묻지 않던 문제. 시스템 설정에서 직접 권한을 주지 않으면 다운로드가 앱 전용 저장소로 갔습니다. 이제 첫 다운로드 때(앱을 켤 때가 아니라) 묻고, 거절하면 전과 같이 앱 저장소를 씁니다.

이번 버전에 없는 것: SSH의 ChaCha20과 SHA-1 서명, ECDSA·PuTTY 개인 키, 서버 디렉터리 탐색.

ReteGet 0.4.1 — explicit upgrades, plain HTTP fixed

Upgrades are always confirmed by you. 0.4.0 asked Android 12 and newer to skip its confirmation screen for some upgrades. ReteGet no longer does: every install and upgrade goes through the system's screen. The option is now Upgrades with the same signing key: open the installer without asking first — for an upgrade with the same signing key and a newer version, ReteGet skips only its own "Install now?" and opens the system installer at once. Checked on Android 13: an upgrade of ReteKey now shows "Do you want to update this app?".

Fixed: plain http:// downloads failed on Android 9 and newer with "Cleartext HTTP traffic not permitted". ReteGet now declares that it downloads over plain HTTP (home servers, mirrors); older Android is unaffected.

Also: the User-Agent carries the installed version (0.4.0 still sent reteget/0.3.5).

업그레이드는 언제나 직접 확인합니다. 0.4.0은 안드로이드 12 이상에 일부 업그레이드의 확인 화면을 생략해 달라고 요청했습니다. 이제는 그러지 않습니다: 모든 설치와 업그레이드는 시스템 화면을 거칩니다. 옵션 이름은 서명 키가 같은 업그레이드는 묻지 않고 설치 화면 열기입니다 — 같은 서명 키의 더 새 버전이면 ReteGet은 자기 "Install now?" 질문만 건너뛰고 시스템 설치 화면을 바로 엽니다. 안드로이드 13에서 확인: ReteKey 업그레이드에 "Do you want to update this app?"이 뜹니다.

ReteGet 0.4.0 — Latest, and upgrades without asking

Latest from an index page. A preset can now name a page to look on besides its URL: a directory listing, a download page, or a JSON list such as GitHub's releases API. Latest reads that page, keeps every address on it that fits the preset URL — {1} stands for a version (digits, letters, dots and underscores starting with a digit, so app-{1}.apk does not take app-1.0-legacy.apk), * for any text within one path segment — sorts them the way Windows Explorer does (0.3.10 after 0.3.9) and queues the last one. The built-in ReteGet, ReteClock and ReteKey presets come with GitHub's release list, so one tap fetches the newest version. Set the page with Edit (Index page). Works on Android 2.3 through the built-in TLS engine.

Upgrades without asking. When a download upgrades an app that is already installed — same signing key as the installed one, a newer version, no checksum warning — ReteGet no longer asks "Install now?" and starts the upgrade at once (option Upgrade installed apps without asking when the signing key matches, on by default). On Android 12 and newer the system can skip its own confirmation too: it does so when ReteGet installed that app and the new version targets a recent Android API level. Measured on Android 13: ReteKey upgrades with no screen at all; ReteClock and ReteGet target API 28, so the system still asks once. A new app is never installed without its confirmation, and an APK signed with another key still gets the warning.

Fixed: Install did nothing on newer Android. ReteGet handed the installer a file:// address, which Android 10 and newer no longer accept. Android 5 and newer now install through a PackageInstaller session (which also records ReteGet as the app's installer, as the upgrades above require); Android 4.4 and older are unchanged.

Also: the six preset actions fit a 320dp screen; the labels in the preset editor are readable; the ReteClock and ReteKey presets carry the 0.51.0 and 0.2.0 records. Settings files gain index per preset and auto_upgrade under [options].

ReteGet 0.4.0 — Latest, 묻지 않는 업그레이드

찾아볼 페이지에서 최신 받기. 프리셋에 주소와 별도로 찾아볼 페이지를 등록할 수 있습니다. 디렉터리 목록, 다운로드 페이지, 또는 GitHub 릴리즈 API 같은 JSON 목록입니다. 수정: 최신 안드로이드에서 Install이 동작하지 않던 문제. 설치 프로그램에 file:// 주소를 넘겼는데 안드로이드 10 이상은 이를 받지 않습니다. 이제 안드로이드 5 이상은 PackageInstaller 세션으로 설치합니다(ReteGet이 그 앱의 설치자로 기록되며, 위의 업그레이드에 필요합니다). 안드로이드 4.4 이하는 그대로입니다.

No change to the app. The build scripts are now marked executable in the repository, which F-Droid's build server needs (scripts/build.sh: Permission denied otherwise).

The application id is still com.reteget, as introduced in 0.3.4. If you still have 0.3.3 or older (org.reteget.apk), see the 0.3.4 notes: export your settings there, install this version, import them, and uninstall the old one.

ReteGet 0.3.5 — 패키징 수정

ReteGet 0.3.4 — new application id: com.reteget

The application id is now com.reteget (it was org.reteget.apk), to match ReteClock (com.reteclock) and ReteKey (com.retekey). Nothing else changed.

Android treats this as a new app. A copy of 0.3.3 or older does not update to 0.3.4; installing 0.3.4 adds a second "ReteGet" next to the old one. To move over:

1. In the old ReteGet, press Export beside Saved Presets (it saves reteget-settings-<date>.ini in the Download folder).
2. Install 0.3.4 and press Import in it, choosing that file.
3. Uninstall the old ReteGet.

(Export and import arrived in 0.3.2; from an older version, re-create your presets by hand.) This change was made before ReteGet's first F-Droid release, so the id F-Droid publishes is the final one.

The app is the same as 0.3.2. This release adds what F-Droid needs to build and publish it:

• Store metadata in fastlane/ (English and Korean): descriptions, icon, feature graphic, screenshots and changelogs.
• The F-Droid build recipe and a publishing guide in docs/fdroid/.
• The APK is built with JDK 21, the JDK on F-Droid's build server, so a rebuild of this tag matches it byte for byte apart from the signature (checked from a fresh clone with apksigcopier). F-Droid can then ship this signed APK, and installs from F-Droid and from GitHub can update each other.

ReteGet 0.3.3 — F-Droid 준비

ReteGet 0.3.2 — export and import settings

• Export (beside Saved Presets) writes all settings — the presets, the options, and the signing keys seen for each app — to reteget-settings-<date>.ini in the Download folder, and can copy the same text to the clipboard.
• Import reads such a file (the newest are listed first) or the clipboard, shows how many presets are new or changed, and merges them: presets are matched by URL, presets that exist only on this phone stay, and a signing key already recorded on this phone is never replaced by one from a file.
• The file is plain text in the rete family's settings format — the subset of INI and TOML that both read with the same meaning — so it can be read and edited by hand. A hand-edited file is read forgivingly (quotes left out, ; comments, : instead of =, different case), and any line that cannot be understood is listed before anything is changed.

Checked on the Android 2.3.7 emulator (export to a file and to the clipboard, delete a preset, import it back); 246 unit tests pass, and a written file was checked with a TOML parser and an INI parser.

ReteGet 0.3.2 — 설정 내보내기·가져오기

• Saved Presets 옆의 Export는 모든 설정(프리셋, 옵션, 앱별로 본 서명 키)을 다운로드 폴더의 reteget-settings-<날짜>.ini에 쓰고, 같은 내용을 클립보드로 복사할 수도 있습니다.
• Import는 그런 파일(최신 것이 먼저 나옴)이나 클립보드를 읽어 새 프리셋과 바뀐 프리셋이 몇 개인지 보여 준 뒤 병합합니다: 프리셋은 주소로 맞추고, 이 폰에만 있는 프리셋은 남으며, 이 폰에 이미 기록된 서명 키는 파일에 있는 것으로 바뀌지 않습니다.
• 파일은 rete 시리즈의 설정 형식(INI와 TOML이 같은 뜻으로 읽는 부분집합)의 평문이라 사람이 읽고 고칠 수 있습니다. 손으로 고친 파일도 너그럽게 읽고(따옴표 생략, ; 주석, = 대신 :, 대소문자), 이해하지 못한 줄은 적용하기 전에 목록으로 보여 줍니다.

안드로이드 2.3.7 에뮬레이터에서 확인했습니다(파일·클립보드로 내보내기, 프리셋 삭제 후 다시 가져오기). 단위 시험 246개가 통과하고, 쓴 파일을 TOML 파서와 INI 파서로 검증했습니다.

ReteGet 0.3.1 — tidier lists and buttons

• Select all and Delete selected under the title of both the download queue and the preset list (the preset list's Select all is now a button; pressed again, it clears the selection). Delete selected stays grey until something is checked.
• The buttons on each queue entry and preset (Install · Retry · Cancel · Del, Use · Edit · Up · Dn · Del) now have a border, so they clearly look like buttons.
• Every download queue entry ends with its progress bar: moving while it downloads, full when done, where it stopped when it failed.
• Smaller check boxes, and a little space between Download · Save · Cancel.
• Paste and Clear beside Expected Checksum, like the ones beside the URL.
• The README shows the app icon in its normal and monochrome (themed) forms.

Checked on the Android 2.3.7 emulator; 233 unit tests pass.

ReteGet 0.3.1 — 목록과 버튼 정리

• 다운로드 큐와 프리셋 목록 모두 제목 아래에 Select all과 Delete selected 버튼이 생겼습니다(프리셋의 Select all은 이제 버튼이고, 다시 누르면 선택이 풀립니다). Delete selected는 무언가 체크하기 전까지 회색입니다.

ReteGet 0.3.0 — download queue and a new icon

Highlights

• Download queue at the top of the screen. Downloads run one at a time. Each entry shows the file name, its state and the URL, with a progress bar underneath while it downloads. A failed download says why and can be retried or deleted; a finished APK can be installed from the list, with the same checksum and signing-key warnings as right after the download. Check boxes delete several entries at once, and Clear finished removes everything that is done. The list is kept when the app is closed; a download interrupted that way comes back as failed so it can be retried.
• New icon in the style of ReteClock: the same dark plate and RETE lettering, with an arrow going down into a tray. It is a plain icon on Android 2.3–7.1, an adaptive icon on Android 8+, and follows the theme colour with themed icons on Android 13+.
• Simpler preset list. The actions Use · Edit · Up · Dn · Del are on top of each preset, and the name, URL and last download are shown underneath as one paragraph, so nothing is cut off. Press and hold a preset to change its name and URL.
• Smaller buttons everywhere, Save next to Download, and Paste / Clear next to the URL field.
• The ReteGet preset now points at this release.

Verified

• Android 2.3.7 emulator: queue downloads from GitHub, cancel, failure and retry, deleting selected entries, the list after a restart, rotating the screen during a download, installing from the list; preset editing and reordering; the new icon in the app drawer.
• 233 unit tests.
• Not yet tried: the themed icon on a real Android 13 phone, and Paste on a device.

APK: reteget-0.3.0.apk, 145,724 bytes, SHA-256 7b81e44446c98144dabd21841cf66a013ec87f4ef559b2040ec14a53145d1ebb. Signed with the same key as 0.1.0 and 0.2.0 (SHA-256 9f98922b…dba64d52), so it installs over them.

ReteGet 0.3.0 — 다운로드 큐와 새 아이콘

• 화면 맨 위의 다운로드 큐. 한 번에 하나씩 받습니다. 항목마다 파일 이름, 상태, 주소가 표시되고 받는 동안에는 그 아래에 진행 막대가 나옵니다. 실패한 항목은 이유가 표시되며 다시 시도하거나 지울 수 있고, 받은 APK는 목록에서 바로 설치할 수 있습니다(다운로드 직후와 같은 체크섬·서명 키 경고를 거칩니다). 체크박스로 여러 항목을 한꺼번에 지우고, Clear finished로 끝난 항목을 모두 지웁니다. 앱을 닫아도 목록은 남고, 그렇게 중단된 다운로드는 실패로 표시되어 다시 시도할 수 있습니다.
• 새 아이콘: ReteClock과 같은 어두운 판과 RETE 글자에, 받침대로 내려가는 화살표를 넣었습니다. 안드로이드 2.3~7.1에서는 일반 아이콘, 8 이상에서는 적응형 아이콘이고, 13 이상에서 테마 아이콘을 켜면 테마 색을 따릅니다.
• 간결해진 프리셋 목록. 각 프리셋 위쪽에 Use · Edit · Up · Dn · Del 버튼이 있고, 이름·주소·마지막 다운로드 기록이 그 아래 한 문단으로 이어져 잘리지 않습니다. 프리셋을 길게 누르면 이름과 주소를 바꿀 수 있습니다.
• 모든 버튼이 작아졌고, Download 옆에 Save, 주소 칸 옆에 Paste / Clear가 생겼습니다.
• ReteGet 프리셋이 이번 릴리스를 가리킵니다.
• 안드로이드 2.3.7 에뮬레이터에서 확인했습니다. 실제 안드로이드 13 폰의 테마 아이콘과 기기에서의 Paste는 아직 시험하지 못했습니다.
