Subject: Feature Request: Integrate an "AI Assistant Link" and enhance UI explanations to bridge the beginner's gap
The Beginner's Dilemma
The current user experience (UX) in local AI image generation tools like RuinedFooocus presents a significant gap. While the initial "one-click" generation is easy, the moment a user wants to customize, add a LoRA, or troubleshoot an error, the complexity dramatically increases. This forces users into a frustrating cycle of searching forums, asking questions on Discord, and "trial and error," which often kills their initial enthusiasm. The core problem is that beginners don't know what the problem is when an error occurs or the output is unexpected.
The Proposed Solution: An "AI Assistant Link" and Better UI Explanations
We propose two solutions to address this gap:
An "AI Assistant Link": Replace or augment the current in-app chat feature with a simple "Get Help" button linked to an external AI assistant (like Google's or OpenAI's). This button dynamically generates a URL containing the relevant error logs or current settings as URL parameters, allowing the AI to provide immediate, context-aware guidance.
Inline UI Explanations: While UI localization (한글화) helps, advanced settings often remain unclear. We request adding short inline comments or tooltips (주석/툴팁) next to complex functions (e.g., in the "Advanced" tab). This would inform users what each function does.
Why this is necessary:
This functionality would act as the essential "engineering assistant" users need. It significantly reduces the troubleshooting barrier, turning a frustrating "chore" into a manageable problem-solving session.
Global Accessibility: For non-English speakers like Korean users, an external AI assistant is invaluable because the AI can provide real-time translation and nuanced explanations, facilitating troubleshooting opportunities that wouldn't exist otherwise.
Empowering Users: Adding simple UI tooltips provides users with foundational knowledge. They can then independently search online or ask their AI assistant specific questions ("What does 'PyraCanny' do?") and quickly learn the system, fostering faster mastery and a more engaged community.
Bridging this gap will retain new users and foster a healthier, less frustrating ecosystem.
