skillshare v0.23.3 Release Notes

TL;DR

  1. Plugin marketplaces you can recognize. New Claude Code and Codex marketplaces that Skillshare registers are named after their plugin, such as skillshare-humanizer-322a2e01808560f4.
  2. No leftover marketplaces. Excluding or removing a plugin also removes the marketplace Skillshare registered for it, even when the plugin was already uninstalled in the Agent.
  3. Imported plugins with a missing marketplace are skipped, with the reason. Sync no longer fails with a generic "command failed" and keeps syncing the other Agents.
  4. Plugin errors are translated. The Plugins page shows each failure once, in your language.

Plugin marketplaces

For each plugin it installs into Claude Code or Codex, Skillshare registers one local marketplace. These used to be named skillshare-<hash>, which told you nothing in /plugin or codex plugin marketplace list. New installs are named skillshare-<plugin>-<hash>. Existing installs keep their names.

Excluding a plugin from an Agent, or removing it, now also removes that marketplace. This works when:

  • the plugin was already uninstalled in the Agent,
  • the first install failed after the marketplace was registered,
  • an earlier cleanup failed. Cleanup stays pending and runs again on the next sync.
skillshare plugin disable humanizer --target claude -g
skillshare sync plugins -g

Skillshare only removes a marketplace it registered, at its own state directory. A marketplace with the same name at another path, and the marketplaces of imported plugins, are left alone. If an update finds its own marketplace missing, it registers it again.

Imported plugins

An imported plugin keeps its original marketplace, for example i-have-adhd@i-have-adhd. If that marketplace is no longer registered in the Agent, sync and update now skip that target and say why:

The native marketplace i-have-adhd is gone. Restore it in the native client, or remove this Agent and add the plugin again from its source.

The plugin's other Agents still sync. Skillshare does not switch an imported plugin to its recorded source by itself, because that would install a version you never reviewed for that Agent.

Settings shared across machines

These marketplace registrations point at this machine's Skillshare state directory, in user and project settings alike. If you share ~/.claude/settings.json with Git or a dotfile manager, other machines receive paths that do not exist there and Claude Code reports Marketplace file not found. Add the plugin from its source on each machine instead, and remove foreign entries with claude plugin marketplace remove <name>.

Dashboard

Failed plugin operations now carry their message key, so the alert and the per-Agent result are translated. When several targets fail with the same error, the alert shows it once.
