What needs to be fixed?
For Windows, I think https://rust-lang.org/tools/install/ should give more info about the required MSVC components or simply link to the page with more info, I think: https://rust-lang.github.io/rustup/installation/windows-msvc.html#installing-only-the-required-components-optional

Suggested Improvement
I didn't want to install the IDE and all tools, but it took some work to get the install to work. It was only later I found the rust-lang.githu.io page (link above) that clarified it.
