RustedWax v0.11.1 🎧

The first public signed release of RustedWax for Android is here.

RustedWax turns verified listening from YouTube, YouTube Music, Brave, and Chrome into a listening history on the Hive blockchain. It measures what you actually played, verifies the video before logging it, and signs Hive transactions locally on your phone.

Before you start

RustedWax requires a Hive posting key to create scrobbles on-chain.

Never enter your Hive active key or owner key.

Your posting key is protected using Android's secure storage, and Hive transactions are signed locally on your device.

Depending on how you use YouTube, RustedWax may also ask for Android permissions such as Notification Access or Accessibility access. These are used to observe playback and identify what is actually being played.

About this release

v0.11.1 has gone through automated testing, physical Android testing, release-build validation, and a dedicated security review.

There are no known release-blocking security issues in this version.

RustedWax is still evolving, so bug reports and real-world testing are welcome.
