say I want to uninstall claude flow from my system, I have to manually go to .claude.json file remove it etc...

as you have a way to init and install claude flow, it would be nice to have a uninstall feature

Just like a virus, I can't uninstall it.

This is now addressed in v3.5.40 with the new cleanup command.

To remove all Claude Flow artifacts from your project:

# See what would be removed (safe dry-run)
npx ruflo@latest cleanup

# Actually remove everything
npx ruflo@latest cleanup --force

# Remove artifacts but keep your config
npx ruflo@latest cleanup --force --keep-config

This removes: .claude/, .claude-flow/, .swarm/, .hive-mind/, data/, coordination/, memory/, and claude-flow.config.json.

To fully uninstall the global package:

# Remove project artifacts first
npx ruflo@latest cleanup --force

# Then uninstall globally
npm uninstall -g claude-flow ruflo @claude-flow/cli

# Clear npx cache
rm -rf ~/.npm/_npx

If background processes persist after uninstall, you can kill them with:

pkill -f claude-flow
pkill -f ruv-swarm

Apologies for the frustration — the lack of a cleanup command was a real gap. It's now a first-class CLI command.
